I don't know how to use the Emashzed's tools, I can't create 171k(117K?) tdx file. Can you provide a tutorial?

It looks like it's just a matter of making the source image a 512x512 bitmap (bmp file) and then you run it through PVRTexTool with command line parameters -i"<name of bmp>" -fPVRTC4 -m -yflip Finally you run the output file which is the name of the file with the .pvr extension through PVR2TDX to get your 171K tdx file.

I just tried it and I got a 171K TDX, though I don't know if it will work as I don't have an iPad.

The batch files make use of ImageMagick to take any image force resize it to 512x512 then do exactly as I described about (deleting the intermediate files afterwards).

It looks like the PVRTexTool comes from here: PVRTexTool - Imagination Technologies and is a tool for converting to the iPad texture format (similar to what the SDK tool does, but better from what I'm reading).

It looks like the Pvr2Tdx tool just changes the header of the file and outputs with the TDX extension.

PVRTexTool.exe from Emashzed doesn't work for me, and I also can't install PowerVRSDKSetup-3.1.exe, I've given up.

Well, you could try this, I put it together in a few minutes and it could be a bit easier though the basic steps it does is the same.

To use it just drag and drop image file(s) on the ConvertToiPadTdx.exe file and it should convert them for you. If you want to have transparency in the files (such as for Deck Box images you can drag and drop them on the ConvertWithTransparency.bat file. Though internally it still uses PVRTexTool.exe to convert to iPad texture.

I just did things according to what is described in Emashzed's thread so hopefully it will work, but as I don't have an iPad I can't really test it.

Edit: It looks like the version of PVRTexTool that Emashzed provided is a 64-bit version, so here is a 32-bit version try it and see if it works for you.

The basic steps i used was..... install all required files (imagemagik) unzip the Gibbed tools and the ipad compliant tools, thats about it.

I firstly drop the .wad onto the Unpack file. The dos will create a XXX_Unpacked folder. ->> which in turn holds the files.

With the .TDX, I convert them using the Gibbed TDXconverter which creates .PNG file.

After, Drag and drop ALL of the new .PNG files into the directory you unzipped the ipad compliant tools (the .bats and .exe).

After highlight ALL of the .PNG files, Then drag and drop them onto the MakeALL.bat!!!! (IMPORTANT!)

A dos window will come up saying XXX.TDX converted.

After thats all done, delete the original .TDX and copy over the new .TDX files you have just created.

Make sure you capitalize the new .tdx to .TDX (thats important as the ipad will only see caps!

then do the same for the planeswalkers and avatars and stuff

It's great to see some more iPad love!

I have an incredibly noobie question: if I want to make mods on my Mac, what program do I start with? I can't seem to figure out Gibbed Tools.

Thanks!

As far as I know there are no modding tools for Macs, Gibbed Tools requires .Net 4 framework and is a Windows program, the iPad tools are also for Windows. ImageMagick and PVRTexTool (which are not specifically modding tools) are available for Mac, but you will have to manage changing the headers and WAD packing/unpacking either on Windows (or in an emulator) or manually (real pain, not worth the effort).

I've been playing around with The Fire Minds decks, and I love modding for my sweet Ipad... but i really wanted to push the Ipad scene along...

So from here I have decided to convert all decks The Fire Mind has made.. (will be converting others)

So give me some time to unpack/convert/repack and then upload!
I am so glad to see this news.
Can't wait to trying Fireminds decks on my Ipad.

Here is some small problems that I found.
1. DECK_0571 "Relentless Rat" the icon of the representative card is missing in the deck manager menu.
2. DECK_ORZHOV_SYNDICATE_ST "Orzhov Syndicate" the icon of the deck does not zoom in the deck manager menu.
