thefiremind wrote:I agree with that, but as you already noticed, some decks from DotP2012 received tweaks from the modder who remade them (kevlahnota), so they aren't totally identical to the original ones. Anyway, my decks are all quite balanced, more or less, so if you need a fair match and you want to show off 2 decks at once (considering what you say about your free time), you should be safe using 1 of my decks versus another 1 of my decks. My decks are always in sequence inside the deck selection, so even if you can't remember them all, just know that they start from Angelic Might and end with Unstable Terrain. Yes, "I See Dragons" has 2 Moxes, but that's all... that deck was meant to be a boss fight in a custom campaign and I never removed them, but it's not a fast deck so they don't make it overpowered.
This was good to know. I wish someone would break the game open and make a better deck selection screen, which let you browse through the decks alphabetically, but I know that's neither easy or perhaps even possible. Anyways, I recorded five videos with your deck, which is gonna be uploaded partially throughout this week and the next, and I did what you suggested and played a deck of yours against another deck of your making. For some (not all), I've posted Deck Manager footage for both decks, so people can get a sense of the deck that the AI played as well. The first one is up right now.
I'll try to keep up here and there, but if you have something you want to push, just shoot me a msg through Youtube. All you need to do is go to the inbox, write a new message, and fill in my name in the recipient box.
thefiremind wrote:Just out of curiosity, how did the whole idea of making a tournament go? Did you forget about it after the famous "ranting video" or you just didn't find enough volunteers, or what else?
I never really got around to it. I still plan on doing it, but I'd want to talk to you guys first, and make it a joint event between my subs and the users of Slightly Magic, if you guys would be interested. As I said, I've had a little too much on my plate these days, and I'm leaving for Japan for a couple of weeks in early June, so it would have to be after I return. However, I would be very interested in either hosting or helping out with a tournament, if we can agree on a list of decks, which are balanced enough for everyone to stand a chance with. Also, perhaps we could make a file package with said decks, so that everyone who enters could just install that and play without having to worry about whether or not they have the right decks installed.
So, I didn't forget it, and the rant video should not be seen as the lack of interest in contributing to the DotP modding scene with what tools I have at my disposal. =)
Btw. I should mention that I had problems with one (only one) of your decks. I tried to record games using the 'Ask the Sphinx' deck against one of your decks and then Sky & Scale, to see if it was the other deck causing trouble, but my game kept crashing. I had no problems playing any of the other decks in your pack, though.
