Meant to quote not thank :lol: (although thanks for letting me know). That is definitely a problem. Since the new file structure ended up not accomplishing anything anyway, I'll return it to its original form and upload that tonight.

I've re-uploaded my mod with the old file structure. It's back to good ol' Deck_1138_ST.wad :D. Please download and use that, even if you could use the new format (those with the expansion, I'm guessing), as I made a few additional changes tonight that I was too tired to last night (though nothing major).

Theres something wrong with that new link for Deck_1138_ST.wad, I downloaded it and it only shows a 11,794 kb size file when it completes?? The file should be 77.84 MB??? I also placed it the directory and now my game won't even start.

I just checked, and the link is working fine. So my guess is your download got interrupted for whatever reason. I've had that happen on the odd occasion, especially with free file hosting sites like Zippyshare. Give it another try and see if it doesn't complete.

Just downloaded and now it completes. I tried like 6 times earlier today and would get incomplete sizes every time. Must be something with zippyshare and my timezone or something? Thanks for the help :)

i downloaded many varieties of deck file and i'm very very lost T_T...Is there any file that is missing??? i try to reinstall the game and put all the mods but again it always says unknown error,when i try to delete my profile, it became "fatal error"".. please help me im really really lost..

@surigade, I'm not sure what is causing your problem, but you should probably remove Data_DLC_8192_AppId_Linking.wad as it is does not contain the most up to date APPID_LINKING.TXT at the moment and will currently cause problems with unlocks (though it should not be the cause of the unknown or fatal errors that you are receiving). With that removed it will be one less thing to worry about.

You could try each mod one at a time to see which one is causing the problems. To do this you could move all the wads (except those from the core game) to a temporary directory and start moving them back to your magic directory one at a time to see which one causes the problems. Though it should be noted that some wads won't work properly without other wads. For example the named deck wads (Deck_Eyes_of_Shadow, etc...) will not work without Data_DLC_8192, Decks 881-896 won't work without DATA_DLC_0999, and decks 199901-199916 won't work without Deck_1999_core.

I've found a bug, so if anyone knows how to fix it, feel free to reply. :)
Either this line:
<SUB_TYPE metaname="Arcane" />
isn't enough to properly set Rend Flesh as an Arcane spell or Long-Forgotten Gohei's ability to reduce mana cost of Arcane spells doesn't work. Or both. Here's Long-Forgotten Gohei's ability that should be reducing the mana cost.

You are right: ARCANE is defined as sub-type in DATA_ALL_PLATFORMS\SPECS (which tricked me and probably everyone else into thinking that the Arcane sub-type was totally defined), but the constant SPELL_TYPE_ARCANE is not defined anywhere.

Create a LOL file that contains:

SPELL_TYPE_ARCANE = 3000
and put it into the FUNCTIONS folder of the mod, that's enough to fix it.
In the meantime, I'll add it to my core-fixing WAD.

EDIT: The fix is now present in my core-fixing WAD, so you can just re-download it instead of creating another LOL file.

Whatever you did thefiremind, wasn't enough. Still works exactly the same. And yes, I DL'ed your corefixes wad file and replaced the old one with it.
Round 2, fight! :wink: (That's a MK reference)

Edit: In the case you won't be able to fix it (or is it broken just for me now?), could you at least post a fix for the ability to check for the specific card AKA Rend Flesh, since it's the only Arcane spell anyway?

Aha. I've discovered, that the Arcane spell type is defined already in the Blindwillow's wad file in Functions folder. But it is defined to SPELL_TYPE_ARCANE = 3830. So I changed it to 3000 as to be the same as in your wad file and only then it works properly. Weird thing is, that I tried changing both lines in both yours and his file to the 3830 number and even then it didn't work. But the main thing is: when you change the line to 3000 in the Deck_1138_ST.wad file in the functions' LOL file, it works! Thanks anyway thefiremind. :)

This is probably because the SPECS files and the constants are somehow connected inside the executable, so the game expects the first sub-type in SPECS\SPELL_TYPES.TXT (which is Arcane) to have a constant value of 3000. I didn't think about it before.
