Magus of the Moon's effect not ending when killed

Magus of the Moon's effect of turning all non-basics into Mountains isn't ending when it's put in the graveyard. Urza lands are unable to add the correct kind/amount of mana, only R.
I may be mistaken, but I believe the effect is supposed to end when Magus leaves play.
