Augury Adept

I had Augury Adept enchanted with Cloak of Mists and equipped with Quietus Spike on the battlefield. When the creature dealt combat damage to the AI, I put the triggered abilities of Augury Adept and Quietus Spike on the stack. However, the ability from Augury Adept doesn't resolve no matter in which order I put the two abilities on the stack. When Augury Adept isn't equipped it works fine.
