Slow searching?

dinghammer reported:
Computer A is a 2.66 GHz Pentium 4 with 1 GB DDR RAM, and a 7200 RPM SATA HD, running Windows Server 2003 (32-bit).

Computer B is a 2 GHz quad-core Xeon E5405 with 4 GB DDR2 RAM, and dual 15000 RPM SCSI HDs in a RAID 0 configuration, running Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit).

Computer B does almost everything faster than computer A. It loads BotArena faster, it compiles faster, and I think it usually plays faster. I don't use it for much besides that.

But searching in the deck editor is incredibly slow on computer B. On computer A, an average search (card text for "enters the battlefield," or set for "AVR") takes less than 3 seconds. On computer B, any search takes at least 20 seconds. Maybe more than 30. I haven't timed it.

Has anyone else experienced this?

FranAvalon:
That is very weird.

BA uses only one core and the difference of core speed is not too big to explain that. Also computer B core architecture is better

I have the same problem on my iMax 27'', running with 4Gb DDR3 and a Intel Core i7 running windows 7 on a 7200 RPM hard drive, each search takes around 15 seconds.

PS: First post here, thanx for this awesome app !
