[Request] Blue-Green Deck
by Lamron333 » 20 Jan 2015, 07:12
Hello everybody. I've been looking around for a Blue-Green deck & can't seem to find one. If you know where I could download a .wad that's strictly Blue-Green (and some colorless), I'd love you forever. I've been wanting to play with one ever since I noticed there were none pre-made in the game. Thanks a bunch ahead of time

Thank you, but I don't want to have to mod my game like crazy to get them to work. I just want a deck or 2 that uses the cards from in-game.Kithkin wrote:VolrathXP's dlc contains three B/G decks.

Then the easiest way is to use my Deck Builder to build one for yourself. Just remember for it to actually appear in game once you export it you must have Rick's dll patcher (so you can use mods).Lamron333 wrote:Thank you, but I don't want to have to mod my game like crazy to get them to work. Well I wouldn't call it "easy" just because I'm horrible at narrowing down the cards in a deck. I have your deck builder & the patched DLL. I thank you for creating the deck builder. I just can't seem to make a deck with less than 90 cards in it lol. So I was looking here to see if anybody had created a Blue-Green deck that has better judgement than I do. Also, I can't get any of the box art to work for decks, it just ends up as a white square in game. Any idea why?RiiakShiNal wrote:Then the easiest way is to use my Deck Builder to build one for yourself. Here is my first attempt at a Blue-Green deck. I still put in a crapload of cards to choose from, but the deck is centered around cloning & having 4 or more of a certain blue-green card to win. Also, I still can't get the box art to work. Please help me

The likely reason your Deck Box art shows up as a white square is because you have not set it. When you click "Deck Information ..." it opens a window that shows the current deck information including the Deck Box image (on the right-hand side of the window). There are 3 options there:
When you click on "Load an Image" or "Build an Image" it will open a dialog box asking what image you would like to use. Once you have selected an image you can move it around and zoom in/out to get the desired appearance. Once you are happy with the image click "Apply" to save the image to the deck. Once you are happy with the deck you can either save the deck (for later editing) or export the deck (to use in-game).
- Use Deck Image (This is usually used when "Creating deck from")
- Load an Image (This is if you already have a predesigned deck box image you want to use)
- Build an Image (This allows you to simply build a new deck box image from virtually any image you have on your computer.)

I don't have any box art picture files, where would I get them?RiiakShiNal wrote:The likely reason your Deck Box art shows up as a white square is because you have not set it. I usually just build them from card images. I've got all of them from the Community Wad loose files or you can extract the card and ai personality pictures from the core wads using gibbed tools. Then, when choosing a box image, just click build instead of load and then choose the image. It can use tdx, png, or jpg files. You'll get tdx files from the wads, so to see what they are, drop them onto the gibbed image converter. Alternatively, just find the card whose image you want to use, right click it in the deck builder, choose "view card" and find the ArtID tag. In quotes will be the filename of the image. No converting necessary.
