hi
i wanted to ask why this code is wrong?
i played the card and computer still played Earthquake, although Gaddock Teeg's ability should prevent it.
why is it not working?

Where did you get this card?! I don't have TFM_NAMESET_HAVE_X_COST in any of my DL'ed mods..loookaz wrote:hi

Ok. I also wanted Gaddock Teeg so I've copied/modified a function from tfm since I only found a name set with X mana cost cards.
This must've been boring to list all these cards!

It was the AI_AVAILABILITY which should have been outside (which I had originally omitted) but the AI_SIMPLIFIED_TARGETING should have been inside. Hopefully this version will be easier for the AI to handle. I'm omitting any AI_BASE_SCORE here, since I don't have enough data on how necessary it is or how to use it correctly.
Edit: Fixed Oath of the Ancient Wood with MAY block and proper targeting.

Good stuff Rari. 2 things on Oath of the Ancient Wood.
It's ability is optional so you should add a may block. Also it's put a counter on any creature so you should remove effect controller from the filter. That could come I'm handy playing an illusion deck or if someone stole your creature with that "you control creature with 3 or less power" enchantment (I forget the name).

I was skeptical about this limitation so I've tried with TakeAdditionalPhase, but it doesn't work much, it only works once and it gives an additional DRAW step. You might have spotted a solution there: give an additional beginning phase, then skip 1 draw and 1 untap through delayed triggers. All I was able to do is have one card giving 2 upkeep step, skipping 1 draw and 1 untap. but when I played another Paradox Haze, they looped together giving infinite upkeeps. tough one. shame because it would be nice in suspend deck too.thefiremind wrote:which should be functionally identical to 2 upkeeps in a row in the same phase. Could you save the number of extra upkeeps in a player data chest? At the first upkeep clear a player data chest then have the hazes add counters to it. You might be able to control the looping that way.
On a different note I have a rules question. I am trying to code Ancient Tomb. Does "tapped for mana" mean anything special? I was going to code the damage part using <TRIGGER value="BECAME_TAPPED" simple_qualifier="self" /> but I don't know if that is correct. I also don't think <COST type="Life" amount="2" /> is correct since its damage not a loss of life.

I was going to code the damage part using <TRIGGER value="BECAME_TAPPED" simple_qualifier="self" /> but I don't know if that is correct. I also don't think <COST type="Life" amount="2" /> is correct since its damage not a loss of life.
