It should be noted that Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger will not trigger if land is auto-tapped for mana it can only trigger if the land is manually-tapped for mana.

Yeah. I should have said that; my bad. I noticed that in my testing and was vaguely annoyed for the billionth time the real developers of the game left in broken pieces that taunt us like WAS_TAPPED_FOR_MANA. This mostly affects playing against the AI who virtually never manually taps mana unless it's the only option. I considered making it so if a land is tapped and it's controlled by an AI, just grant the mana/tapandhold whether it's definitely a mana ability or not. Or at least for basic land, since the VAST majority of the time, it would be the right thing to do. Though if you do that then effects that tap land not for mana would still make it take effect erroneously.

Exactly why I'm torn and why I'm considering only applying it to basic lands. For basic lands, at least, they'll only have an extra ability if they were given it by something else, which is pretty rare for lands. And a mana ability can't be countered or responded to but can always respond to other abilities, so even if something does choose to tap the land, the AI would still have the option[/] of tapping it for mana, so they'd end up with one less mana than they rightfully should have.RiiakShiNal wrote:Though if you do that then effects that tap land not for mana would still make it take effect erroneously.

There are also things like Life and Limb, Bend or Break, Chimeric Idol, Mana Web, Gulf Squid, Mistbind Clique, and Nature's Will just to name a few.Xander9009 wrote:Exactly why I'm torn and why I'm considering only applying it to basic lands. Please put Vorinclex in the community wad. Its like a piece of candy being dangled in front of me like a child going into a big white van with the words "free candy" on it....

For the others, I technically have the option of tapping my lands for mana then. For Mana Web it even points it out in its rulings. They would just be getting half as much as they should.
I mean, as it stands now, about 50% of the time, it's working 95% like it should be (when I'm the one tapping mana). With this approach, about 85% of the time, it would be working 90% like it should be. Still not a great solution, but probably the best one I can think of.
The cards I'm most worried about are one's that give your lands the ability to tap for other colors of mana. I can check if they're enchanted, and turn it off then. But for something like Chromatic Lantern it gets tricky. Then their basic lands would still usually be autotapped, but they might also be manually tapped. So I'd have to make sure it doesn't double-fire (which if Vorinclex is controlled by you actually wouldn't matter, but it would if they controlled Vorinclex).
And with that, I'm off to bed

OH! Wow... I DID just say I was going to bed, so that'll be my excuse. I just realized you were saying the problem would be the basic lands tapping either for mana while a creature or not for mana while not a creature when controlled by Vorinclex's opponent.
In that case, would it be possible to respond to any spells or abilities about to resolve and turn the ability off, then turn it on again immediately after it does without leaving too big of a window or creating too much lag? If so, then any spells or abilities that tap opponents' lands wouldn't tap and hold. (For the being a creature and tapping for mana, oh well. Not much I can do about that unless it's manually tapped.

EDIT: Almost forgot about Geth, Lord of the Vault. Done now. Untested. I'm done for the night, so I've forced the core to pack early, and it should be up now with Geth and all the others. Notice that the Version file now contains a changelog. It's basic, but it's there.

hey! i just checked the community wad thing and there isnt a art wad, only a text version that reads "66"

The art wad only had, like, 1 new image added: some new token created by a Commander 2014 card. So, I wouldn't even bother updating to it just yet.
(Keep in mind that the art wad is massive because it's already mostly complete. We don't have to add a card's image when we make the card, the image is virtually always already in there. So if you're worried about Vorinclex not having a picture, no worries; the wad you have already has Vorinclex.)

Yep, that's why I said without leaving too big a window. If it could deactivate not when the ability is triggered/activated, but rather only as a result of its resolution, but before it has actually resolved, and then reactivate as a result of it resolving, then there'd only be a very short window wherein the player wouldn't have a chance to do anything anyway. I don't know if I'm conveying what I'm thinking very well. What I'm thinking would definitely fix the problem, I just don't think it can actually be done. Which leaves me at: Vorinclex stays as is. Not the best, but at better than nothing. i just tried to recreate my alltime favourite "Mutilation" Deck from the Torment Block, but couldn't find a lot of necessary cards when only using the CW...
I was able to find the following cards:
"CORRUPT_350600"
"DIABOLIC_TUTOR_369523"
"INNOCENT_BLOOD_348936"
"MUTILATE_348950"
"SPREADING_PLAGUE_23057"
"TAINTED_AETHER_1947025643"
To complete the deck i would need the following additional cards:
Cabal Coffers
Exsanguinate
Chainer's Edict
Phyrexian Arena
Liliana Vess (with +1 discard)
Haunting Echoes
Could you include these too?

Thank you, these cards were available when using the individual mods, therefore i posted the request rather here, because i thought of it as more of a CW mod issue, sry for that.

In other words, it doesn't really matter, it's just that if it's requested in the request thread, there's less pressure on me. (Although, not by much, since it appears Riiak and I are the only experienced coders still around at the moment. Everyone else seems to have lost interest until 2015 can be modded. Although, Neo might just be busy. I don't know.)
