I guess your problem is that you don't know which was the last parent of your aura after you returned it to your hand... I think it can be solved pretty easily by referring to the old parent as EffectSourceLKI():GetParent() but I'm not sure if it works, and if so, I don't know if there are downsides by doing this rather than saving the parent in a pointer before returning the aura in your hand.

EDIT 2: Fixed and tested. It seems to be working as expected now!

EDIT 3: Decided to use TriggerObjectLKI() in the delayed trigger resolution, so the copy will be generated no matter what happens at the original spell (which is how it's supposed to work, I think).

I haven't had a game yet where I have been able to test this and am starting to wonder if my new crashes might have something to do with this code or how I implemented it, but it looks fine to me... *shrug*

I just noticed that I forgot to filter untapped creatures in the conspire code. But before adding that, I'll try to test it personally.

EDIT: It doesn't work, but there are stupid errors that I'm fixing one by one. It might work after that.

EDIT 2: It works now! I updated the code in the previous post.

Too bad that code won't allow us to code Wort, the Raidmother, because we can't refer to the original card's delayed trigger from a granted ability.

EDIT: Tested it and it works perfectly. :D Unfortunately I am still getting random crashes with that deck and it doesn't seem to be limited to any one card... Lol, sorry to rant but staring at the same cards for 3 days is wearin' me down man.

EDIT 2: I think you could make Wort, but you would have to make your own copies of all of the instant/sorcery spells for the deck and make them only have Conspire when she is in play. Not really a lot of work (a lot of copy/paste I imagine), but yeah it kind of sucks we can't do it an easier way.

I'm trying to code a card where when it enters the battlefield (Trigger 1) you select a target player. Then when Trigger 2 is triggered, it does damage to the target player in Trigger 1. If I am not mistaken, if you want to pass data between different abilities you have to protect it somehow. From what I found, LinkedDC() is used for protecting cards, but can it also be used to protect a target player? I couldn't find any examples of this from what I searched.

What card are you trying to make specifically?

I assume since it is just a Data Chest, it could be used to store any pointer you want.

hey all i was watching modded for greatness vid with my deck and i completely for to change the placeholder for fiendslayer paladin 3rd ability to it's proper ability..can anyone help me with that or tell me a card that has a similar ability so i can try it myself for practice.thx

I've got a problem that I would be thrilled to have some help with. I made the card Convincing Mirage. It's actually working well as far as I can tell, but whenever it's used in a game, I get an error log when I exit:
