Acidic Sliver doesn't grant a triggered ability, it grants an activated ability.

It's not possible and I actually think it would make less sense. If for some reason the Acidic Sliver stops being a Sliver, it will still affect all Slivers by granting them the activated ability, but it won't grant it to itself any longer, so it matters that the 2 abilities are independent and separated.hinesassociates wrote:I would think it would be cleaner to have the static ability text become the activatable ability on that initial sliver that cast it. </CARD_V2>I have taken out the end statement since there is no if check. Initially I had added it because it was crashing at the end of my turn in testing until I put that in. Maybe it was the token registration so I added that in and I am testing as soon as my databases update.sweetLu wrote:You have an end without an if in the RTA of your activated ability. Also I think I have Riiak's mod already installed and Basal isnt showing up. Maybe I missed something somewhere...
Basal Sliver was added to my mod in v2.0. Yep. That was the issue. I had 1 and 2 but not 3. Anyway thanks and thanks to Riiak.sweetLu wrote:It may also be worth noting Riiak has multiple mods. (1) Is the manual mana mod which only has the manual mana functions. (2) Is the core fixes mod. (3) Is a mod with a bunch of cards that use his manual mana functions which serves as examples of how to use the manual mana functions. Basal Sliver is in the 3rd mod. If you don't have it I suggest downloading it.

</CARD_V2>You have to create a delayed trigger to deal with this. Look at any other card that prevents damage (Goblin Legionnaire is a good one for this). Now for my next annoying question. I am now working on Cautery Sliver. Its first ability is easy since I have already done it on Acidic Sliver and is currently working, but the second ability seems like it would need a triggered ability (checking for damage to prevent it) on top of the activated ability(Paying 1 and sacrificing) and static ability (giving this ability to all slivers. The activation is working on the second ability but doesnt seem to be triggering the triggered ability. Can anyone help me sort this thing out? This is what I have so far from trying to copy other cards but its failing somewhere.
