Hey mates!
HOW TO PLAY:
Everything you need should be linked below. Place WAD files and the .dll in your DOTP 2014 directory ( where you installed your game ) and the music in Audio > Music in the same directory. You should be all set to play. NO WAD UNPACKING NEEDED!
=======UPDATED MOD============
This new update for this 2012 mod includes 10 "promos" for each deck, as well as new land art. You DO NOT need the original mod to play this, if you do have the original you can update it by deleting all WADs except for the ART and CARDS ones, and replacing it with the "Data_Decks_2012_PROMOS.wad" file.
This update uses CONTENT PACK 501, if you have 500 only you will need to get the 501 Content Pack Enabler linked below.

-Assault Zeppelid now has flying and trample.
-Lorthos, the Tidewaker now has a defined query.
-Rakka Mar should now stop making humans and start making elementals!
-Dead Reckoning should deal damage equal to power of the card recurred from the graveyard, NOT the creature that is targeted to take damage.
-Elven Riders should now be unblockable against non-Wall, non-flyers.
-The Kor Tokens in deck pack 1 should now have art.
-Snake Umbra should now give enchanted creature exactly +1/+1
-Rally the Forces should no longer just fizzle.
-Molten Ravager's firebreathing text should not be the same as Hellkite Overlord's.
-Thunder Dragon's ability should activate upon ETB
-Fixed Alaborn Cavalier's cleanup text
-Lys Alana Huntmaster's ability should trigger now.
-Fixed Lumberknot not triggering when an opponent's creature enters battlefield.
-Heartwood Storyteller should now ask the right player whether or not to draw a card.
-Bloodhusk Ritualist's multikicker should work now.
-Minor change to Duplicant which should help some card interactions.
-Shuffling into library should now be fixed.

After two weeks of long, hard labor, I have finally completed something that I have always wanted to do since I started modding Duels 2014: import the 2012 decks. This pack includes ALL 10 main decks + 3 expansion decks from 2012 made exactly as they appeared in the original game, without any modifications. I also included the exact same 20 unlocks as the original decks. As an added bonus, I threw in "Deck Pack 4", which contains Karn and Nicol Bolas' unplayable boss decks each with their own set of unlocks. Each deck uses the official deckbox image and official music straight from 2012 as added touches.

Huge thanks to thefiremind, RiiakShiNal, and other members of this community for helping me with some of the cards and for providing so many excellent resources. Otherwise, enjoy the decks and have fun!

The game crashes when I start the game with your mod, I even tried it with just your mod and it still crashes on start up, I also made sure I had all your files and down loaded them multiple times. I removed the decks wad to prevent the crash, it gave me a mini dump file if you want it. BTW, I can upload the expansions if you want them. Do you want the current one?

Ah... I thought that with Riiak Shi Nal's deck builder updated to the latest version there shouldn't be any issues... I'll do a thorough check of the decks again (I just caught some glitches with a few more cards so I'll be going back to debugging). Thanks for bringing this up mate.
EDIT: Kept squashing glitches until Riiak's error log stopped spitting them at me. This last update should fix any card referencing errors which might be causing the decks crashing. I guess SKIDROW's version is a bit more lenient than others when it comes to bugs.
Sigh... I'm so stupid sometimes (OK, all the time)
ANOTHER EDIT: I also reuploaded d3dx9_43.dll as I got a startup crash when I removed it. Hopefully it should solve your issue.
EDIT: Kept squashing glitches until Riiak's error log stopped spitting them at me. This last update should fix any card referencing errors which might be causing the decks crashing. I guess SKIDROW's version is a bit more lenient than others when it comes to bugs.

My Deck Builder only lets you build decks with cards you have, but if a card gets removed it won't prevent the Deck Builder from reading the deck/unlocks, but the Deck Builder will spit out errors to let you know. I tried to keep the Builder lenient about what it will load, but descriptive about any perceived errors it finds. When you make a deck it will list in the readme all the wads that it could detect that your deck will depend on (this can help if you use cards from other mods you have installed).GrovyleXShinyCelebi wrote:Ah... Skidrow version is before the game update so even if a deck has missing referenced cards the Skidrow version won't crash, but the current Steam version will crash if it is missing even one card.

Interesting. I wonder what Stainless put in the patch that made it so sensitive to missing cards.
Anyways, can someone test the download and confirm that the decks don't cause the game to crash?

1) Unpack the "wad" files that you have uploaded using "Gibbed.Duels.Unpack.exe"
2) Unpack the "DATA_DECKS_D14.WAD" from Magic 2014 folder
3) We place your files into "DATA_DECKS_D14_unpacked/DATA_DECKS_D14/DATA_ALL_PLATFORMS"
4) We pack the folder using "Gibbed.Duels.Pack.exe"

No. The steps to install the mod are as follows:
1) Download Rick's .dll signature bypass. Put this file in the DotP 2014 folder you wish to play modded decks in (the same folder as the DotP 2014 executable). I would suggest you make a copy of your vanilla folder so you will have 2 versions of the game (vanilla and modded).
2) Download all of the .wad files for the person's DLC you wish to play. They should tell you what files you need (it can be things like an art wad, cards wad, content pack enabler wad and the actual decks wad(s)). Put all of these files into the same folder as the .dll file.
3) Play the new modded decks.
There is no packing or unpacking needed. You only need to pack/unpack decks when you are creating a modded deck or want to see how things are coded.
EDIT - It not advisable to modify the original game's wads. If you do so, it is likely the game will not work. If you did this, you will probably have to reinstall the game.

@MC Brodie: You actually do have to unpack if you use the Skidrow version, if I'm not mistaken. What you have to do then is:
1) Get Rick's dll and save it in the same directory as the executable file for the game.
2) Get the wads for the DLC you want and save them in the same directory as the executable for the game.
3) Get Riiak's Deck Builder 2014, and point it to the directory mentioned above.
4) Choose "Create Core Wad From Custom Data" in the Deck Builder's Tools menu.
5) Individually copy the wads with the DLC you want to the Gibbed Tools folder, then drag each one to "Gibbed Tools Unpacked.exe." You don't have to do anything with the content pack enablers, since the folder you created in step 4 has an enabler that will work for all the wads you put in it. Don't worry if the unpacker gives you an error message or not.
6) Go to the new unpacked folder in Gibbed Tools, then open it until you find the Data All Platforms folder. Copy this folder.
7) Now go back to your main directory, open up DATA_DLC_CUSTOM until you see Data All Platforms. Paste the data from step 6 into this folder, overwriting anything that you need to.
This should make any mod you download appear in-game and be playable in the Skidrow version. It's somewhat of a pain if the modder makes several core folders that you have to download and unpack, but it works. If you don't have the Steam version and what the others said above doesn't work for you, this might solve your problem.
1) Get Rick's dll and save it in the same directory as the executable file for the game.

6) Go to the new unpacked folder in Gibbed Tools, then open it until you find the Data All Platforms folder. Copy this folder.
7) Now go back to your main directory, open up DATA_DLC_CUSTOM until you see Data All Platforms. Paste the data from step 6 into this folder, overwriting anything that you need to.
This should make any mod you download appear in-game and be playable in the Skidrow version. It's somewhat of a pain if the modder makes several core folders that you have to download and unpack, but it works. If you don't have the Steam version and what the others said above doesn't work for you, this might solve your problem.

No, there really isn't any reason to unpack someone else's wad(s) just to use them. No, Creating a core wad does not create any Content Pack Enablers (CPE) what-so-ever. The only time the Deck Builder creates a CPE is when you Export a deck and even then it only creates a CPE for the Id Block that the user has chosen in the options (by default: Id Block=1000). It is highly not recommended to use the default Id Block if you are going to release anything made with the Deck Builder as anything you release with Id Block 1000 will likely conflict with other users custom decks.
If the unpacker gives an error message then there is likely a problem with the WAD (corrupt download, etc...) and any such errors should be read and understood before dismissing them. If the unpacker gives an error the game will also likely have an error trying to process that WAD.

What you are doing is a pain and seems completely pointless from what I can tell. I have tested on 3 different versions of the game (3DM, Skidrow, and Steam) and just putting the WADs into the game folder (with the required patcher dll of course) works on all versions of the game that I have tested without any need of using my Deck Builder or the custom data folder (which is just a blank unpacked WAD when created).fallenangle wrote:This should make any mod you download appear in-game and be playable in the Skidrow version. I'll concede your points, while also noting that none of the mods worked for me until I did as stated above. This probably has to do with whether or not I gave administrator status to the game, but I'm not entirely sure.

, although in the first deck that I tried (MACHINATIONS), the Etched Champion when it gain protection from all colors he still can be blocked and destroyed by color ones!
