Re: MCS: DLC and Taking Forum Requests (18 Decks - Feb 12 20
I actually have a spider deck so I can give a little insight on the Spiderlings deck:
Jungle Weaver (has cycling to get to lower-costing cards if you pull one too early)
Oran-Rief Recluse (Outright destroys a flying blocker)
Penumbra Spider (Replaces itself with a black one, good if going against a black deck with Fear creatures, just kill the regular one and you can block fear/black intimidate)
Stingerfling Spider (Again, can outright kill a flying blocker, arguments can be made if this or Oran-Rief Recluse is better)
Evolution Charm (Use this in my own spider deck. Can be land fetch, get back a creature that died, or turn a big nasty into a flying creature that's easily killed by Oran-Rief Recluse or Stingerfling Spider) <- 100x better than Rampant Growth IMO for this specific type of deck
I am personally a big fan of the new artifact/enchantment removal spell Fade Into Antiquity. It exiles rather than destroys and can get rid of regenerating or indestructible artifacts/enchantments.
Again, personally since you are running Mono-Green, Aspect of Hydra is like a million times better than giant growth because it will just pump your stuff so much bigger as the game goes on. Alternatively, you could use Primal Bellow for a much larger buff later on.
Predatory Focus would be a card for consideration since spiders have generally lower power than toughness, couple it with Aspect of Hydra and you got a nasty, but not terribly powerful, 2-card combo (3 counting whatever creature but you get the point).
Quest for Renewal works pretty well coupled with Arachnus Spinner, keeping your spiders untapped during opponents' turns.
Hope that helps any. If nothing else it's something for consideration. If I can think of anything else, I will let you know.
