So I decided to build a few new BfZ decks and play them via LAN (which always worked fine for me up until now) but something must be wrong with those new cards because at some point during every match using these new decks the game kinda "freezes" (it doesnt actually freeze but neither me nor my opponent are able to play cards or use abilities).
I also get the following message after ending the game:

call parameter mismatch - too many or too few a parameter count declared, method FindMatch in class MtG:DotP_CNetwork_UI_Lua

Just to clarify: my opponent and I use the exakt same files - the community wad and all art files as well as exactly the same deck wads. This error never appeared before I started using BfZ cards in decks.

Any idea what might cause this? It's really frustrating because I wanna use all these cool new cards you guys coded :D

It doesn't specifically state it, but that's just because abilities are basically never stated where they're applicable.

It's a triggered ability. It has no text related to activating it from other zones, so it is by default only applicable while it's on the battlefield. So, it only triggers while it's on the battlefield. If the damage has already been dealt by the time it is on the battlefield, then the time to trigger has already passed. He doesn't have an ETB effect. The only trigger is "Whenever a creature deals combat damage to you,". He can't trigger if he's not on the battlefield when that trigger occurs.

@johneeeee: I have no idea. That's an error related to the UI and engine and should be connected to the cards in any way. Can you confirm that the error still doesn't occur when you don't use the BFZ cards?

Yeah, that's the weird part. All other decks work just fine, even during the same game session. But as soon as we use decks containing the new BfZ cards sooner or later that strange error happens and it becomes impossible to play cards or use abilities.
Sadly I can't narrow it down to any specific cards. Honestly I can't even tell if it's the cards themselves but it seems like it would be a big coincidence otherwise.

Easiest guide would be on the CW website in my signature. As for the version, it assumes the latest version through steam. I've never noted or had any problems with versions of the game.

The token art in my game is all messed up, is this a known thing that affects everybody, or just a problem on my end? e.g. wolves are snakes, humans are saprolings, soldiers are blank, etc. (that example may not be accurate, but you get the idea).

Also, any reason why the art for Cancel is on Counterspell?

Not sure about the Counterspell issue, but it's fixed. As for the tokens, if your art is messed up, you probably need to update it.Tokens in particular are contained in the MISC art wad.

EDIT2: As an explanation for the tokens, token art is handled in a special way compared to normal cards. Normal cards use their MultiverseID as their ArtID, which means each one is unique. Tokens, however, don't have a MID, so they're assigned MIDs sequentially in alphabetical order. So, whenever a new token (or art variant) is created, all tokens after it have their MIDs and ArtIDs increased by one to prevent overlaps. This means that the art must be renamed to match, and it was, all in the same update when I added the tokens from Battle for Zendikar. However, unless you download the new Misc Art wad, you still have token images with the old names, meaning they're picked up by the wrong tokens. This won't be an issue in the future, since I'm planning to change all ArtIDs, both tokens and non-tokens, to use their FILENAME tags. The MIDs for tokens will still need changed when new tokens are added, but that won't have any affect on the art. However, that change hasn't taken place yet (I haven't even begun it, since I'm still working on other things and giving people a chance to express any hesitation they have about it).

EDIT3: Completely unrelated to the rest of this post, but unworthy of a post all its own, I've just discovered that a single card can have multiple LinkedDC()'s. The "1" from linked_ability_group="1" is not a boolean like most attributes in ability tags, it's an integer. linked_ability_group="2" makes that ability call a LinkedDC() completely separate from any abilities using linked_ability_group="1" on the card. IF anyone would like to test this on their end and let me know the result, I'd be very interested.

Dream Salvage and Manifest seem to only be working for those using the loose files version of the CW. I don't know why, but I'm looking into it and hoping Riiak or someone else has an idea (posted in the General 2014 questions in the programming section).

So, awhile back I mentioned my game was having a strange issue where the mana abilities of lands and many other abilities that shouldn't grant a response time were granting one. It turns out that's the last setting in the advanced options. Checked by default, I unchecked it because of the game's bad habit of skipping through things and doing things I don't want it to. Just checked it (trying to get a may ability to automatically choose yes (Sun Droplet)), and noticed a few minutes later my lands were activating instantly like they used to do. Had nothing to do with upgrading to Windows 10 (I mentioned at the time that I'd recently done it). It just so happened that when I upgraded and reinstalled the game, I had to fix my settings, and so that's when I unchecked it mistaking it for one I'd unchecked before reinstalling Windows. Just so the information is available... And also so everyone knows what that last option talking about automatically resolving many abilities is actually talking about.

and that's controlled by the SKIP function (is it a function?), right? I've found that cards without the skip function still have a response time even with that option checked. I'm building a list of all the cards that I'd like to be able to automatically resolve so that one day I can go and "fix" them all -- without the skip function they make some of the combos in my decks painfully long to execute.

Not just that (but yes, the AUTO_SKIP sections are ignored if that option isn't checked). It also affects abilities (like MM and dual color mana choosing abilities) with the forced_skip="1" attribute.

Thanks. The solution seems obvious, but I had thought it might've be something like that so I re-downloaded all the art a while back but the problem persisted. It's going to be nice playing with the right art for cards again!

Shadow is possible to code, the "can block creatures with shadow as though they didn't have shadow" may or may not be possible to code, I'd have to think through that to see what we could do.

Flanking is most definitely possible. If I remember correctly we coded some flanking creatures for DotP 2013. This is what I have for Flanking (this was originally made for DotP 2013, but could be pretty easily adapted):

The Flanking characteristic still exists, so we don't have to use custom characteristics (which helps some and allows for us to set it as an intrinsic ability easily).

The only problem I see with Axe of the Warmonger is the Hero card type.
