Have there been changes to the art files or why do they update daily?

Fixed Thrillkill Assassin and all of the cards from your previous post as well. And yes, the art wads are being changed. Many improved images are being uploaded by cenarius. He's been focusing on older art, I think. Feel free to not download them except once a week or whenever you want. The art, as always, is entirely optional for updating.

For the decks, I haven't fixed those yet. I'll go do that now.

Hi, it's been a long time since I checked on SlightyMagic. Seems like you guys have been working hard to keep DotP 2014 up to date. Thanks to all of you. I'm a little confused with this community WAD thing though. I got a Mod Folder for DotP 2014 sitting on my computer with a bunch of "old" mods. I've been thinking of going here to check if any of them have been updated. For example I see I have TFM&G2K's Planeswalkers Pool v5e which have now been updated. But then I saw this new community WAD thing. And I'm confused as to if it is like a 100% complete bundle of pretty much all Card's Mods here, or if I have to double check for anything missing?

Will it conflict with the original mods it says it includes if both are installed? Basicly, what do I need to do? Do I need to grab this Community Wad bundle, check the list in he forum of the mods it includes, avoid installing the mods it says it includes, and install everything else it doesn't include separately? For example, do I skip install FireMind, Riiak Shi Nal, Sumomole, etc mods, which I think I see in that list, but install the Planeswalkers Pool, which I don't see? Thanks in advance for any help guys. In the meantime I'll try to figure it out by myself if nobody can answer me when I got time to do so.

Edit: A quick check, and it seems the Planeswalker's Pool is included, my bad. Can anyone tell, roughly, if I'm all set and match by downloading only the Community Wads+Community Wads Decks+Cores Fixes, ManualMana etc? With all that, will I have the most of everything this mod community has to offer? In short, am I safe to delete my old Mods Folder, and stick only to the Community Wads?

It will conflict if the original mod is included. And it does NOT include every mod, because a few authors (well, two, now) never replied to my request for permission to include their stuff. The PLW Pool IS included, yes. So is TFM's, RSN's, Sumo's, Neo's, and most everyone's.

For a maybe-better guide on installing, you can look here: https://sites.google.com/site/dotpcommunitywad/ (Note the left side has a page for installation).

He's been focusing on older art, I think. Feel free to not download them except once a week or whenever you want. The art, as always, is entirely optional for updating.

For the decks, I haven't fixed those yet. I'll go do that now.
The thing is that old cards are the ones that need most work to make them appealing. I don't remember when the modern frame came in, but all the cards before it needs to be reworked to fit the new frame.

And it's a big ass work :|

Bug Report.

"[lua] [string "Content\Functions\CW_MANA.LOL"]:554: unexpected symbol near 'if'
[lua]
lua_dofile error parsing file Content\Functions\CW_MANA.LOL"

Don't know why but i happened once i generated a lot of mana and tried to use it to play the Masticore ability to make damage. Once done, i closed the game and this was brought by the report log.

Also, this:
Image

I produced one red mana with Ghitu Encampment and tried to use "Latulla, Keldon Overseer"´s ability to make damage but the game didn't recognized there was a red mana available to play the ability. Same happened in another match when i produced mana with Ghitu Encampment to play the ability of the Rishadan Port but it also didn't recognized the mana to spend, but this was before the last update though.

I wonder what's the business with the way the mana is managed ¬¬

That shouldn't happen in the latest update. It/s the same problem Kithkin reported, and I already tried to fix it.

It still happens even after #322. You think that's related to the red mana issue?

I'm starting to get really confused. After double checking everything, there's more than only 2 or 3 missing DLC's in the Community WAD. At least, from what the list of included stuff is specifying. For example, there's mention of NeoAnderson mods, but not all. DATA_DLC_581_NEO_CONVOKE_PACK REV 1.3 & DATA_DLC_596_KHANS_OF_TARKIR REV 1.4 are not mentioned in the list. And I'm still going through the forums so maybe there's more. I don't see Tejahn's Fate Reforged mentioned in the list either. I also started to clean up my old mods folder based on what is said is included in the Community WAD, and I'm still left with multiple mods: BloodReyvyn's Mods 2014 r17, DATA DLC DotP 2013 for 2014 v2.3, Foren's Decks - Naya Allies & Bant Exalted v1.1a, GrovyleXShinyCelebi 2012 DotP Mod, Kevlahnota's Custom DLC v1.8, Persee's Custom DLC for DOTP 2014 v1.2, DATA_DLC_587_THEROS.wad, Data_DLC_585_THEROS_BESTOW_AND_HEROIC_CoreHQ.wad, Zarroc's DOTP 2014 DLC (11 Decks). I mean, that's more than only 2-3 DLCs. There's also an updated version of TFM&G2K's Planeswalkers Pool v8g named PW Protection Update at the end of the topic. There's no telling if the unofficial update is included in the Community WAD or not. It's also mentioned that there is no need for any plug-ins besides Data_DLC_8192_ManualMana, unless there's been updates to the other plug-ins. So I'm left unsure if I should put Data_DLC_8192_Characteristics, Data_DLC_8192_ObjectDC & Data_DLC_Core_Fixes in my installation folder, or not. And if I do, will it, again, create conflicts?

You guys are doing a tremendous job codings cards and packing stuff, there's no denying. But it can really get confusing to know what to grab or what not to grab. You don't want to download everything mindlessly so there's no conflicts and crashes in the end. But things are so confusing you don't really know where it ends. I was thinking of going with the Community Wad, flush out anything that is included, and add what's not on top of it. But from my current point of view, after a few hours of downloading and deleting stuff, I'm starting to come to the conclusion I'm better off ditching the Community Wad, and go with each individual mods one by one. But then again, will I miss any cards by doing so? I'll still spend time through the forums downloading stuff, and classifying it on my hard drive in two categories. Option 1 Community WADs, Option 2 Non-Community WADs. I think the best would be a list of mods not included, with links to it, instead of a list of mods included. Would be less confusing.

Anyways, thanks again.

EDIT: Here's other mods from NeoAnderson I found that are not listed DATA_DLC_580_NEO_PHASING_PACK, DATA_DLC_583_NEO_FIXED_CARDS_PACK, DATA_DLC_592_RETURN_TO_RAVNICA_OVERLOAD_PACK, DATA_DLC_915_NEO_M15_CORE_SET REV 1A, DATA_DLC_976_NEO_MANA_RESTRICTION_PACK 1A, MTG - MORPH PACK - Rev 1a, JOURNEY_INTO_NYX_STRIVE_PACK. It's probably all in the Community WAD, but it's not listed. I would have to go in the Deck Editor Tool to double check everything. Again, wouldn't it be way simpler to mark the Community WAD as including all the site's DLCs, except x,y & z? So we can grab what's missing manually.

All of Neo's stuff is included, including his convoke pack. If it's not listed, that's just because I missed the link or something. Tejahn's Fate Reforged thread is chock full of explanations that the cards will be included in the CW. And in fact, it is.

I don't recall getting a response from BloodReyvyn (either I didn't send a request or he/she didn't respond, or maybe I simply forgot). Either way, they're not included.

DATA_DLC_588_BORN_OF_THE_GODS.wad, Data_DLC_585_THEROS_BESTOW_AND_HEROIC_CoreHQ.wad, DATA_DLC_587_THEROS.wad are Neo's and are included.

Kevlahnota never responded. His stuff isn't included.

Foren's Decks - Naya Allies & Bant Exalted v1.1a isn't needed. I coded every uncoded ally a long time ago (those are the allies that pack uses), and the exalted cards are already almost entirely included, if not completely.

GrovyleXShinyCelebi never responded.

I don't recall ever seeing Zarroc's stuff. However, all but 16 of those cards are already included. If you want any that are missing, request them in the formal request thread. I'm far too busy lately to code them, but someone else might.

If you opt not to use the Community Wad, then yes, you will be missing cards. The entirety of Dragons of Tarkir is available only in the CW. I coded all of the cards for it and have never (and don't intend to) separated them out and packed them separately. You'll be missing over 3000 cards by migookman, 867 by me, a good portion by various others, and not to mention bugfixes for lots of cards from others' mods.

So, if you go with the other mods over the CW, you'll be missing almost 4000 cards plus bug fixes. If you go with the CW, you'll be missing somewhere in the tens or maybe a hundred or two (I don't know how many cards are in kevlahnota's mod and BloodReyvyn's, but I doubt it's more than 200 that aren't already included).

The CW also gives you access to a bunch of decks if you're interested in that. They all work with only the CW and require no other mods. This includes the decks from most of the included mods, including TFM's and Sumomole's, who had probably the most.

drugskill, the Community Wad mod is all you will ever need. You should start playing the game instead of just collecting cards. There are lots and lots of CW decks to choose from. All of them are built for the CW mod.
