Collectible Card Game Headquarters

CW Decks Folder (click open in drive).

These are not part of the CW, but are instead decks shared by other users. When you get a deck, make sure you have that deck's Content Pack Enabler. Each deck has a section of numbers (except for thefiremind's which have "_TFM_"). Find the file with the first few digits of that number and put it into your game directory.

To use these decks, you'll need a couple of things first.

1. Community Wad
2. Content Pack Enablers - In the link above, download and extract the file "Content Pack Enablers.7z" to your game folder.
3. Download a deck .wad file and put it into your game folder. This deck will now be usable in-game.

There are a few .7z files you can use to download decks in bulk.
"CW Decks - ####.7z" - These files contain all of the decks made by specific users. You can see the numbers registered by users here.
"CW Decks.7z" contains ALL of the files available in the folder. All content pack enablers and decks. It's a hefty file at 138 MB right now, but you'll have the entire set of decks to work with from one download, which might be easier for those not using GD to keep them updated.

If the game crashes while opening, then run RiiakShiNal's Deck Builder. It'll list any decks that are referencing missing cards. Removing those decks from you game folder should cure the crashes. Let us know which decks those are and someone (probably me) will get the bad references fixed.

If you're ever asked to overwrite content pack enabler files, your answer doesn't matter. They should be identical if they have the same name, so overwriting or not is irrelevant.


Please keep this thread on topic. This thread is for posting/discussing the decks themselves. For cards, I'd suggest the Formal Request Thread or the Community Wad thread. For reporting bugs, see my signature for a link.

Share your own decks | Open

If you want to share a deck, you can upload it to this folder, but please only upload decks which only require the CW. Any other requirements besides the base game files will result in glitches and crashes for people without those requirements. If you need a card and it's not in the CW, try requesting it in the Formal Request Thread. Before uploading a deck, you need to reserve an ID here. Make sure the ID you reserve is not the start of another reserved ID and make sure it's either 3 or 4 digits. (So, I have 9009 reserved. Don't use 900.) Once you've reserved your ID, set up your copy of RiiakShiNal's Deck Builder in the settings menu to use your reserved ID. Only upload decks exported after this is done.

In that folder, select Open in Drive at the top right (it might say Add to Drive first). Then, drop any decks you want to share into the folder. Make sure you include your Content Pack Enabler. No matter how many decks you add, you'll only need to add the CPE once.

Once you've done that, Google Drive will sync the decks to my computer where a program will see it and move it to the main decks folder, and in the process it will create a zip folder with your deck(s) and CPE as well as add them to the main zip file.

Please consider posting the name, filename, and cardlist here. (For the cardlist, please make sure you type them correctly so they are properly highlighted.) This way, others looking for decks have an idea of what decks there are and which cards they have as well as which file to look for if they want to use it.

ShoGUN - Color changing effects - This deck contains non-CW cards (they are included and thus require no additional downloads, but they have limitations)

I've just dropped in a bunch of my decks. I went back through the decks and used my deck converter to convert them from using the various cards they were using before to the Community Wad cards and I'm really happy that the deck converter worked as well as it did. Once there were all converted, I used Riiak's Deck Builder to import them and then re-export them with non-colliding IDs (these are decks I've have for a long time, and they usually weren't in my actual game folder, so they often had duplicate IDs). They're mostly ideas I wanted to try rather than amazing decks. A couple of them are really good, though. Not all of these were originally made by me. I think a couple I saw elsewhere and just put them together myself in the deck builder. I might go through and give a better description of them later.

All of the decks from thefiremind's, sumomole's, and volrathxp's mods have been added. For a description of those, see their threads. Note that for a given deck to work, you may require the corresponding content enabler. I've included these as well (including mine). In addition, the Manual Mana Functions wad from RiiakShiNal in case you use that (just in case it wasn't clear you should be including that if you're using the multiplayer tool).

This took recoding a BUNCH of cards, so I hope at least one or two people end up using this. Again, feel free to add your own decks. If you have any questions, just ask in the Multiplayer Sync Tool thread.

I have been testing the Community Wad and your decks for a few days now, and I wanted to bring some issues regarding the decks to your attention.

# Walkers of the Universe deck crashes the game on startup (I wonder why nobody has reported this)

Thank you I mostly make decks when I have a specific idea I think would work well (or I just want to see how it plays), but that's not too common for me, unfortunately. I'll try and post some more over time, but those were just the few that survived being in my folder over the course of a year or so. So, I might not come up with too many more interesting ones, I'm afraid.

Don't post Semblance Anvil or Farsight Mask. I just fixed those two while trimming If You Build It.

There is a reference to a typing mismatch "Actino" in line 2. BTW, the walkers wad file is still in your Google Drive.

Thanks for the tip on the land. I'll give that a shot. At least it's simple

As for Phyrexian Arena and its misspelled "actino", I forgot to mention that one, but I already fixed it as well. Whenever I open the deck editor and it gives me an error, there's an 80% chance I fix it immediately. That was one of them.

For the Walker of the Multiverse deck problems, you should just have to run that through the Deck Converter. The problem is that the exact version of Liliana Vess it's looking for doesn't exist anymore One was messed up and deleted. The other still exists and should work LILIANA_VESS_CW_205961. City of Brass was renamed to CITY_OF_BRASS_MM_CW_382181 because it was incorrectly labeled as autotap and it's actually manual mana. So, both cards still exist, and the deck converter will fix them. Or you can unpack it with gibbed tools, find the deck file, and replace both cards' filenames with their corrected ones, and then the deck should work.

EDIT: Personalities should be fixed as well as card count/basic lands. Hopefully.

Also, for at least the decks I made, I tried to upgrade any low quality art for the cards used. I have a tool to help me get the art from another wad in a format I can use, so I'll try and update some more of the art in the near future.

Please keep in mind that while the Archetype creatures do their most basic job, there are fundamental problems with making the rule compliant that cannot be overcome. This is SweetLu's approximation.

Basically, use the lands' life gain to try to survive until you can get out the variety of creatures. Use the lands' scry to find those creatures. Leyline of Vitality can help your creatures survive and can also give you some life. Extinguish All Hope to wipe the board of all but your creatures (unless the opponent has enchantment creatures). Amulet of Vigor can help speed things up. Sphinx's Revelation and Staff of Nin to help you draw, with one helping you and the other hurting the opponent. If you've gone long enough to get a Chromatic Lantern, you probably need it.

I just put this together tonight. It might not be the best, but I've played a couple of games with it. If it survives long enough to get out 3 or 4 creatures, the game is pretty much set. A friend of mine mentioned she got an Archetype of Imagination and when she discovered there were 4 others, she wanted to see a deck of them.

I came up with an archetype approximation? That might have been Neo. I don't remember working on that.

It might not technically have been you. Since the author tags haven't been added anywhere except the CW, the CW's author tags are a best guess. They just got the tag of whoever's mod they came from. So, my best guess is you included them in one of your mods and the converter labeled them as yours (although looking at your main mod, I don't see them, so I don't know).

If anyone knows who actually made them, I can change the credit to the proper author. Only two were done, for the record. Archetype of Courage and Archetype of Endurance.

EDIT: Yes, Neo was working on one, and I think he might have even posted the code, but he pulled the cards and never officially released them as far as I know and I don't know if the ones I have were his code or if the releaser made them on his/her own.

Man, this deck is so mean, don't use it on your best friend. I love it, when Liliana Vess pulls a bunch of angels out of the graveyard. EPIC

On a more personal note: I have been playing DOTP (or Magic) for only one year. Only a few days ago I have discovered the deeper meaning of a twin/exarch deck. Then I remembered there is such a deck in sumomole's Theros dlc. It does not feature a Deceiver Exarch, but it works nevertheless. So I suggest to you, the community, to check it out: 31770_TWIN_EXARCH.
