Re: [confirmed]Ichorclaw Myr

Postby Aswan jaguar » 15 Feb 2012, 12:52

Gargaroz, any chance that you used the code of Murk Dwellers (which is close but not the same) to code Ichorclaw Myr and that explains why AI doesn't get that it will pump into 3/3 if blocked?
I changed it's values as they probably "should be" according to similar original coded cards, the AI power,AI toughness and inflatable columns but no luck there.
For example:it seems AI will consider the biggest values of such inflatable creatures.
Murk Dwellers have 4/2 there and inflatable=1
Cave People have 2/4 and inflatable=1
so I changed Ichorclaw Myr to 3/3 and inflatable=1

Re: Cards corrupting savegames

Postby BlueTemplar » 15 Feb 2012, 12:56

So cards that generate tokens tend to corrupt the save game? No wonder then that my token-heavy Counters & Gilder Bairn decks has this problem so often... any way to fix that, or load the save game anyway?

(afaik saving purpose is only for bug report for us)
I disagree, I tend to use the save game function a lot, for instance when I'm interrupted and I have to stop playing... And think about long marathon games like Gauntlet or Challenges!

You can try to load your savegame if it is corrupted don't bother to attach it.You can take screen-shots they are not as useful as savegames but do the job sometimes, also you can post the deck so we can try to reproduce the bug,at least until someone fix this, thanks.

[1st wait response-2nd fixed]]Turntimber Basilisk

Postby Aswan jaguar » 17 Feb 2012, 14:01

Describe the Bug:
If Turntimber Basilisk selects a creature to block it and AI (at least) chooses a second creature (needlessly most times) to block it you can't assign damage to the one you selected with Turntimber Basilisk it finds it as an illegal target so it survives.

Which card did behave improperly ?
Turntimber Basilisk

Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
Manalinlk 3.0 ,DUEL

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
Be able to assign damage to the selected with the ability creature if second or more block Turntimber Basilisk.

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?

Re: [confirmed]Lorescale Coatl

This is a limit of the original engine : it only let you know "when" you draw, not the quantity of card drawn. I could resolve this through coding, but I need a list of cards in Manalink that do something when someone draw cards.

[confirmed]Leyline of Sanctity

Postby Aswan jaguar » 20 Feb 2012, 16:25

Describe the Bug:
Leyline of Sanctity has an incredible redirection to opponent at least for discard spells that I tested. When you target AI protected with Leyline of Sanctity with a discard spell it redirects it  and you get to discard the card-cards.
EDIT-just tested and redirects all kind of spells.
Which card did behave improperly ?
Leyline of Sanctity

Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
Manalink 3.0,duel

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
Leyline of Sanctity protects AI or player from spells doesn't redirect the damage-ability to opponent

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?

Bring me those discard decks to wipe them out

Re: Leyline of Sanctity redirects discard effect

Postby stassy » 20 Feb 2012, 17:37

redirection bug confirmed for those spells after check:
Mind Rot
Mind Twist
Mind Sludge
Blightning
Stupor
Wand of Ith
Tribute to Hunger (caster still gain the life benefit even though the spell was redirected)
Diabolic Edict
Geth's Verdict (caster get full effect of the redirected card -sac 1 creature and lose 1 life)
Kaervek's Spite (caster get full effect of the redirected card -all permanent sacced, hand empty and -5 life)
Thoughseize
Taste of Blood (I suspect this spell is redirected but it's like the caster lose 1 life and gain 1 life thus some kind of fizzling :p)
Soul Feast (same as Taste of Blood)
Sorin's Vengeance (same as Taste of Blood, we clearly see the life going up then down on the caster)
Sign in Blood
Sadistic Sacrament

not protected from due to hexproof approx coding:
Ravenous Rat
Recoil
Tendril of Agony
Syphon Soul

No effect/target player spell fizzled normally by Leyline of Sanctity:
Funeral Charm

Redirection work on either the AI or the player, though the AI tend to not cast a lot on the leylined player, for once it's clever.

Stopped checking when I discovered that not only black discard cards could be redirected :p

Also tested with one of my Leyline of Sanctity being Donate -ed, so Donate work really well :pp

Re: [confirmed]Leyline of Sanctity

Since the whole "hexproof" is an approximation, this card will never work as it supposed to be unless we recode the targeting function. I'll remove it from the next patch.

Re: [confirmed]Leyline of Sanctity

1)Gargaroz since the real problem is that the player with Leyline of Sanctity on battlefield isn't found as illegal target to spells from opponent as it should can't you do something so when in play those targets become illegal?

IMHO why it isn't so much problem to have this card as it is:

2)Even if nothing can be done, since it is illegal to target the opponent with Leyline of Sanctity on battlefield just leave the card be and everyone who makes the illegal move to target it will suffer the consequences.
Just don't target the player and problem is solved.
-You could mention even mention that as a note to the cards text.

Re: [checked-list needed]Lorescale Coatl

Postby Aswan jaguar » 21 Feb 2012, 12:51

Gargaroz is this a normal procedure you do for each card which causes to draw more than one card?
I am asking because Lorescale Coatl is already working great with so many other cards I tested about 20 and each one worked great.
