I fixed the counter thing, but the haste code for the token seems right, are you sure about that bug ? Post a screen capture if you can.

Re: [confirmed]Chains of Mephistopheles
by stassy » 27 Nov 2012, 11:43
As of ONRv2, I can confirm that Chains of Mephistopheles does not affect at all the AI, which discard nor draw no cards, and if an effect make both player draw cards (like Temple Bell), the player is affected twice.

Deckbuilder in WInXP: removing cards is slower
by 0rion79 » 28 Nov 2012, 09:40
Hi all, this time I'm really reporting a weird bug.
It is from some time that I have one single difficulty while editing decks on my notebook, with WinXP, but NOT on my desktop (Win7).
The problem is that, in the deck editor, I neeed to doubleclick twice (4 times in total) to remove any card when it is in a single copy in a deck. The problem is a much greater nuisance in EDH decks, of course!
Just to share a sample, if I have let's say 1 serra angel in my deck and I want to remove it, I have to doubleclick once, and then a second time, else the game won't remove it and the card will stay as it is.
If, instead, I have at least 2 copies of the same card in the deck, then the exceeding copies are removed with no troubles. Only occasionally I am experimenting troubles with the last remaining copy of a card.
Wonder if it may be connected to the Playdeck Analyzer!

Well, ML depend entirely on processor, so of course trying to run it in a notebook is going to be a bit difficult when you manage huge edh deck.
Do you have the specs of your xp notebook and your 7 computer (processor, ram, HDD speed, SSD?...)
At work, I use an old 2k2 portable computer with xp sp2, it's an intel p4 2.3 Ghz monoproc 1Go ram and the speed difference compared to my home computer i5 750 2.67 Ghz 4Go ram is really noticeable (that is also why I know fast when game loop because on both computer the hang time is the same compared to AI true thinking time which is much faster on the latter)

My notebook is kinda new and this is happening only from few patches till now. I am sure that this is something related to MtG code.

I don't think it is a winXP problem(I do have windows xp though) and I am almost certain the problem is there from the beginning of Manalink3.0 and the updated Deck Builder.
In fact the last chosen card to remove if it is only one in the deck is removed (see total number of cards that is reduced)but the picture remains there. If you don't try to remove it again and remove another card the previous picture then vanishes.
In short the deck builder keeps the last picture of the last card removed until you remove the next card(I don't know if it was unintentional or Mok wanted the deck builder to show what you deleted last). If you save the deck the moment you click to remove even if you can see the picture of the card the card will not be on your deck in play or in deck builder the next time you load it.

Mok and Snacko mentioned a possible problem about all that card artworks that has to be loaded. Try for yourself : rename the artwork folder and restard the DB, prolly all the slowdowns will disappear.
