Describe the Bug:
Cryptic Command will not counter a spell. The countered spell resolves anyways (sometimes it appears to be cast a second time somehow) and then the other modes of Cryptic Command will resolve.

While researching, I saw mention of this bug Here, but it doesn't seem resolved. In the attached save game you can try to counter the very next Platinum Angel the AI plays.

Which card did behave improperly ?

Which update are you using?(date,name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)

Duel

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
Cryptic Command should properly counter a spell when that mode is chosen.

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?

It's an old confirmed bug, those kind of spells are a headache to code as there are at least a dozen of possibles combinations to take into account (for example, if you choose counter + draw it will work, on others cases it will not)

I need to know a thing : do it works if you select "counter + bounce permanent" ?

- Current / medium term task: adjusting the code for making Misdirection and such usable
- Long term task: inserting all the good stuff I left out from the "Golden Years" mod

Yes :) It works if you select Counter first and then bounce a permanent in the second choice.

Try doing it reversed.
And if someone could catch the combination that generates the error, it will help a lot.

So far from what I have tested only counter+bounce has the issue :

AI side, casted by player when a spell is cast

counter+bounce no yes

tap+draw yes yes

player side, casted by player when a spell is cast

counter+tap yes yes
counter+draw yes yes
bounce+counter yes yes
bounce+tap yes yes
bounce+draw yes yes
tap+counter yes yes
tap+bounce yes yes
tap+draw yes yes
draw+counter yes yes
draw+bounce yes yes
draw+tap yes yes
There are still many combinations possible (when no player cast a spell, when no creature in AI bf and when nothing to bounce) but I gave up at the 2nd wave :P

Counter + Draw still does not counter the spell as far as I can see. This is a pretty hit or miss card to play with.

Yeah great fix here. I just started playing with this card again and the interface is so pleasant. No problems at all anymore. ^_^
