Version September 2013

When Chromatic Lantern is in play manalink thinks you have more mana available than you do, so cards show up as castable even if you don't actually have the mana.

Engine limitation. There's no way for Chromatic Lantern (or any of the other cards that read 'Your [permanents] have " {T}: Add [some color and amount of mana] to your mana pool"') to account for any mana those permanents can produce on their own. They can either say "This permanent can produce [some color and amount of mana] in addition to anything it says it can produce itself" - which is what they currently do, and so the engine thinks you have 7 total mana avaialable instead of 4 - or do nothing, in which case the engine wouldn't think you had {B} {B} {B} {B} available. There's no good solution.

(The actual mana produced is always correct, just not what the engine thinks you can produce before you actually produce it.)
