[fixed/closed]Ernham Djinn

Postby Aswan jaguar » 06 Jul 2013, 16:53

Describe the Bug:
Erhnam Djinn (microprose card)ability can't destroy "becomes the target of a spell or ability",or work with cards that ability triggers when they are targeted.
NOTE:the card doesn't work as the original text said "CHOOSE non-wall creature" and was never updated when text changed to "target non-wall creature"(when it was released in Judgement set probably)

Which card did behave improperly ?
Erhnam Djinn

Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
ML3-JUNE13.V2 *** still in PTT

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
Erhnam Djinn targets so it has to trigger targeted effects-abilities.

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?

Caused by the Skulking Ghost effect not recognizing other triggers, which is already fixed (as best as we can approximate) for the next patch. Being an exe card shouldn't matter either way. Non-targetted choices will erroneously count as targetting for this purpose; those need to be worked around on a per-card basis.

Vaguely related, I just rewrote the Djinn in 18098d7 on the defender branch; the AI should make much better choices for its upkeep trigger now. (Picking creatures that already have forestwalk, non-walls with defender, lower-power creatures, etc.)

Also I hope you made it select the same creature when more than 1 Ernham Djinn are in the battlefield as AI mostly liked to select different targets with it!
Also priority to creatures with "when this creature becomes a target destroy it".

If there's a creature with forestwalk (or whatever it's been Magical Hack 'd to) already, it'll pick that as its first priority; so multiple djinns, or a single djinn triggering multiple times due to Paradox Haze, will pick the same one.

There's no easy way to detect the Skulking Ghost ability when targeting is forced like this, though.

How come I see 4 legacy cards attached to the creature but only 2 Ernham Djinn s?
