by HarlequinCasts » 21 Jan 2014, 04:19
Describe the Bug:
The AI can somehow activate Jade Statue without paying its activation cost. The player cannot do this.
Screenshot (board attachment quota reached?)
Which card did behave improperly ?
Jade Statue (AI)
Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
CIA v2 Jan 2014
What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
2
Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
NA

OK, why was it asking me whether to animate the AI's Jade Statue?

I don't remember can't find which bug - interaction we tried to overcome by recoding Jade Statue (probably because it could be activated despite a card telling otherwise)or it was recoded as all non-vanilla cards coded in ASM must be to work correctly with C coded cards/functions.However the new code makes the card a vanilla card with almost no effect (see below)& it will be better to be reverted to the old code which was working fine for the card itself (because what is the benefit of interacting well with C coded cards when the card itself can't be used)until it can be done correctly.
Has several bugs some mentioned in the other report by HarlequinCasts & Bagate:
1- When it triggers in humans attack phase owned by human so it can be animated AI is asked? to animate it AI selects to animate it a legacy is applied to Jade Statue but the effect of the legacy is applied after the select attacker at "fast effects assign attackers or blockers" so it can't be used to attack.
2- When AI owns Jade Statue player is asked to activate or pass. However in this case AI can use the animated Jade Statue to attack.
3- When you are attacked yours Jade Statue never prompts you to animate it so you can declare it as a blocker.AI doesn't activate it as a blocker, too.
edit: 4- for both players it is activated for free if you have 2 untapped lands.
5- I managed to attack with it once when I owned another Jade Statue that were both activated But that doesn't happen every time.

Agreed. I'm putting it back to the original implementation until we have a chance to look at it more closely.

It seems to work flawlessly now. Consider it fixed.

HarlequinCasts, you closed this but it still appears bugged, any insight?

I tested it a bunch and the AI always paid to activate Jade Statue. Seemed fixed based on the original problem?BAgate wrote:HarlequinCasts, you closed this but it still appears bugged, any insight?
