[fixed/closed]Possibility Storm AI plays human spells, too.

Postby Aswan jaguar » 24 Feb 2014, 16:10

Describe the Bug:
1- Possibility Storm at least when owned by AI,when I cast a spell and triggers
finds the card with the same type But AI selects if I want to play it or not and it AI selects to be played because the card is played by AI,so AI plays his cards and mine while everything is blocked.
2- It puts a copy of the card that shares a type and will be played for free and the actual card is still in the library.
Which card did behave improperly ?
Possibility Storm

Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
2014/02/18: Born of the Gods v2 - DUEL

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
1- The player who casts a spell decides if he will play the free spell from
Possibility Storm and that player casts the free spell.
2- Possibility Storm casts the free spell and not a copy of it.(anyway the original has to removed from library)
Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?

When I play your savegame I get a slightly different result. When a player casts a spell it disappears (not in gy or exile zone) and you then find the next card in lib that shares a type, then controller of Possibility Storm (AI in this case) decides whether to play it and puts the card in play (so when human casts a spell the AI gets to put the card in play). Also, the card that was put in play is also put on top of the caster's lib, so it is the next draw.

I guess it may not be easy (code wise)to make it go to exile zone and then go to library and so it is coded to go directly to the end of library.

The biggest flaw in Possibility Storm 's current code (April 17th 2014) is that the original spell which made Possibility Storm trigger still resolves, despite being supposed to be exiled by the trigger. However, if I select 'pass' for the revealed card, the original spell won't resolve.

Another issue is that casting an artifact, creature or enchantment and then casting the respective card revealed by Possibility Storm 's trigger results in the latter entering the battlefield upon resolution, but not staying there (presumably going to the bottom of library directly after it entered and potential 187 abilities resolved).

Well, there was a bug in which the check if the revealed card can be played is done on the controller of Possibily Storm instead of the exiled spell controller, I fixed that in 709e86e.
I've tested it a bit and seems to work fine now.
