[fixed/closed]Anger of the Gods triggers death triggers

Postby Nexhro » 07 Jun 2014, 23:56

Describe the Bug:
When a creature with a triggered ability reading "when ~ dies, [...]" is exiled due to having previously been dealt damage by Anger of the Gods, said ability triggers. I.e., the respective creature(s) is/are exiled after hitting the graveyard.

This is less noticeable with cards like Kitchen Finks (doesn't return due to being exiled before trigger resolves), but problematic in conjunction with cards like Wurmcoil Engine.

Which card did behave improperly ?
Anger of the Gods

Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
JOU v1, duel

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
A creature that has been dealt damage by Anger of the Gods is exiled instead of (and hence before) being put into its owner's graveyard if it would die that turn.

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
Possibly other cards with the "exile instead of " clause: Disintegrate, Pillar of Flame, Annihilating Fire, Demonfire, Carbonize, Kumano, Master Yamabushi. Magma Spray, Yamabushi's Flame, Yamabushi's Storm, Red Sun's Zenith, Gruesome Encore, Leyline of the Void, Void Maw, Whip of Erebos, Yawgmoth's Agenda, Rest in Peace, Samurai of the Pale Curtain. Dryad Militant, or creatures with unearth like Anathemancer

Yup, it's a global bug and is fixed in 9cdfd49
----
- Current / medium term task: adjusting the code for making Misdirection and such usable
- Long term task: inserting all the good stuff I left out from the "Golden Years" mod
