[fix/closed]Quest for Renewal + crits w/ nonmana tap ability

Postby Nexhro » 16 Jun 2014, 02:46

Describe the Bug:
When a player controlling Quest for Renewal taps a creature to activate (one of) its activated ability/abilities that requires tapping and isn't a mana ability, two quest counters are put on Quest for Renewal.

When such a creature becomes tapped by attacking or by being tapped by an "external source" like Icy Manipulator, one counter is put on Quest for Renewal as intended.

Which card did behave improperly ?
Quest for Renewal or creatures with activated abilitis that require tapping

Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
JOU v1, duel

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
When a creature controlled by Quest for Renewal's controller becomes tapped, that player may put a quest counter on Quest for Renewal.

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
Tested Imperious Perfect, Kazandu Tuskcaller and Thraben Doomsayer -> same bug.
Tested Thrull Parasite and Phantom Nantuko -> same bug.
Tested Llanowar Elves, Elvish Mystic and Palladium Myr -> no bug.

Examples for other creatures that might cause this would be Bloodline Keeper // Lord of Lineage, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, Skirsdag High Priest, Tradewind Rider, Grim Lavamancer, Mother of Runes, or Deathrite Shaman.

This has already been fixed and now closed. I didn't test all cases though.
Trying to squash some bugs and playtesting.
