At the beginning of Awakening Zone's controller's upkeep, a 0/1 colorless Eldrazi Spawn creature token is put onto the battlefield under his/her control.
Which card did behave improperly ?

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
The token is optional.
Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
