[fixed/closed]Phasing vs Apprentice Necromancer & co
Describe the Bug:
When a creature returned from its owner's graveyard to the battlefield via Apprentice Necromancer's activated ability phases out before the end step of the turn during which it was returned to the battlefield that way, it is sacrificed during that end step.
Since creatures with the Ball Lightning clause correctly stay on the battlefield (are not sacrificed during end step) if they are phased out, the observed bug must be related to Apprentice Necromancer (and similiar cards, see below) or rather the legacy effect its ability attaches to the reanimated creature..
Which card did behave improperly ?
Apprentice Necromancer
Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
JOU, duel
What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
A phased out permanent is treated as though it doesn't exist and hence can't be sacrificed/exiled etc in that state.
Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
Also tested Shallow Grave/Corpse Dance -> same bug.
Probably also affects similiar cards like Sneak Attack, Skirk Alarmist, Shifty Doppelganger, Footsteps of the Goryo, Junkyo Bell, through the Breach, Stone Giant, creatures with unearth/Sedris, the Traitor King (phasing out is not considered leaving the battlefield ruleswise, but an unearthed creature will be exiled at the end of a turn during which it phased in or if it would leave the battlefield that turn, unless it phases out again before either happens), Berserk, Goryo's Vengeance, Dawn of the Dead, Gruesome Encore, Postmortem Lunge, Whip of Erebos, Fatal Frenzy, Impromptu Raid, Incandescent Soulstoke, Killer Instinct, Krovikan Elementalist, Slave of Bolas, Treacherous Urge and/or Zirilan of the Claw.
