[fixed/closed]Pyramids doesn't remove damage from target
by Nexhro » 17 Sep 2014, 23:56
Describe the Bug:
If a land that's also a creature is dealt lethal damage by any source, Pyramids is highlighted hwne the game asks for regeneration effects.
Activating it at that point and targetting the land creature in question doesn't remove the damage that's marked on that land, so the land dies despite the activation of Pyramids' activated ability.
The Aura destruction part works as intended, and the destruction replacement mode can prevent a land from being destroyed by non-damage means like Stone Rain or Murder.
Which card did behave improperly ?
Pyramids
Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
CoRM15 mini, duel
What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
Pyramids' activated ability removes all damage that is marked on target land if that land would be destroyed.
Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?

Did they change the wording so it doesn't work against terror, etc?

I looked it up on Gatherer and the picture said 'Prevents a land from being destroyed', but Oracle said 'The next time target land would be destroyed this turn, remove all damage marked on it instead', and that text wouldn't work on Terror. So which is official?

The Oracle text version works with Terror - it's a replacement effect. So when there is no damage marked on a land creature that is targetted by Terror, 0 marked damage is removed from that land instead of it being destroyed.
If you controlled a permanent of which the rules text read "If you would draw a card, instead discard a card" and you had no cards in hand, you still wouldn't get to draw a card. It's the same principle.

Ah, poor reading comprehension strikes again. I'm going to blame you. You're reporting too many bugs. I can't concentrate long enough to deal with all of them.

You can breathe easily now. I've finished testing the cards that came with the vanilla game + SotA and since I don't know what else sets were in ASM before The Big Recoding, I won't post reports in this vast a quantity anytime soon.
Unless you are masochistic enough to tell me which sets have been recoded, that is
