1) Beast of Burden's power is equal to the number of creatures its controller controls.
2) Beast of Burden's tougness is 0, regardless of the number of creatures on the battlefield.
Which card did behave improperly ?

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
Beast of Burden's power and toughness are each equal to the number of creatures on the battlefield.
