Regardless of mana spent causes caster to gain life equal to target's life/toughness.

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
Should gain life equal to damage dealt, but not more than toughness/life.

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?

Confirmed life gain is wrong,just mentioning that damage dealt on the other hand seems fine.
