[fixed/closed]Liliana Vess ultimate makes ETB trigger twice
by Nexhro » 11 Dec 2014, 03:50
Describe the Bug:
When Liliana Vess's -8 ability resolves, ETB triggers of creatures put onto the battlefield by that ability, including legacy effect card creation, trigger twice.
Also, two Liliana Vess legacy effect cards are attached to each of the returned creatures.
Which card did behave improperly ?
Liliana Vess
Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
KOT, duel
What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
ETB triggers only trigger once
Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?

more complicated than that. Only appears to trigger more than once if multiple creatures are returned. If it is just one then it works fine. But just from the timing it appears that the extra instances are activated by the subsequent creatures.

Could you give me an example ?
Like if you reanimate a Llanowar Elves and a Loxodon Hierarch you gain 8 life ?
Or you mean the interaction between Liliana's reanimation and cards that checks if a permanente comes into play from graveyard ?

OK, example (note, in current tests appears to only apply to creatures brought back from opponent's gy). Give yourself a Doubling Season and then a Liliana Vess. Give Opponent a Kitchen Finks, a Loxodon Hierarch and an Armada Wurm, then cast 2 Wrath of Gods to put everything in gy. Activate Liliana Vess and everything comes back into play for you and you gain 12 life and get 4 Wurm tokens when it should be 6 life and 2 tokens.
