[fixed/closed]Deckbuilder Restricted/Banned lists
Posted: 20 May 2016, 20:28The deckbuilder currently has a hardcoded list of cards it considers restricted, banned, and/or ante. (No cards are in more than one of these categories, though the software can support that.) The restricted and banned lists can be filtered for, by right-clicking the icon on the far right; both of those, as well as the ante list, also factor into the "deck type" (Unknown/Unrestricted/Wild/Restricted (Type 1)/Tournament (Type 1.5)/Highlander), which is shown in the stats window but doesn't seem to have any other effect.
While we'll probably want to eventually have these card lists be read from a separate file rather than being compiled into DeckDll.dll (or use the dungeon cards in Shandalar mode), and we'll also want to have more different bits set (so that e.g. the stats window can accurately list all the formats a given deck is legal in), right now the card lists are out of date and I'd appreciate someone picking a format to use - most likely Vintage, Legacy, or a combination - and making an accurate list that I can just plug in. There's no need to restrict it to cards currently in Manalink, just ones printed in Shadows over Innistrad or earlier.
Also, if there's any open bugs about the deckbuilder, or ones that were closed as unfixable because they involved the deckbuilder, I'd appreciate links to those too.
