Mizzix of the Izmagnus grants an experience counter when its controller casts an instant or sorcery with converted mana cost equal to the number of experience counters its controller has

This was already fixed in dev, in commit fb8496b. (You're certain it was only giving xp counters for = cmc, not >= cmc?)

Mizzix of the Izmagnus is giving >= cmc however I guess he mentions only the bug part like I do many times and not also how the card works as we ask for "Describe the Bug" and not also how the card works.
