[fixed]Swords of X and Y break rules engine

Describe the Bug:
This seems like a whopper of a bug with multiple effects. Please bear with me. I'll attempt to report it as clearly as I can.
There's a set of artifact equipment, the Swords of (X) and (Y), that each give the equipped creature protection from 2 colors and a pair of combat effects.
Sword of Truth and Justice
Sword of War and Peace
Sword of Sinew and Steel
Sword of Light and Shadow
Sword of Fire and Ice
Sword of Feast and Famine
Sword of Body and Mind
These swords seem to break the rules engine or part of the in-game physics governing play and permanents. While I can see and describe various ill effects, it's difficult for me to boil it down to one thing that might be breaking behind the scenes.
Permanents such as planeswalkers or enchantments can be cast, but usually fall off the board and go to grave. But not always. And as I'll report in replies, lands or creatures can also be affected -- albeit less often.
I think the best thing I can do here is post a series of replies, each with a separate example and an attached savegame to demonstrate.
