Tokens are not copied accurately by Populate, etc.
Each creature type has its own size.
Elemental is 0/0 and disappears; Spirit is 1/1.

Without the entire board or a savegame I don't confirm this. In my tests with some cards with populate and Growing Ranks I can see from your screenshot everything worked perfectly.
