Re: Koth of the Hammer

Postby Salbei » 19 Feb 2011, 01:02

Confirmed after testing. The AI does not attack Koth of the Hammer .

Gargaroz just send me a PM.
Apart from the Planeswalkers already mentioned, the same bug affect Venser, the Sojourner and Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas.

Gargaroz wrote:And the funny thing is : if you control one of the 'Walkers I coded (let's say Elspeth Tirel) and another planeswalker more old (let's say Sarkhan Vol), you're able to attack any one of them ! Try that for yourself.
It's a really strange bug, however, Jatill and me are looking for fixing it.
Retired a long time ago. I will not reply.

It was a bug in the card code, and now it's fixed.

It also affects Gideon Jura. I'll make another thread about that.

[fixed by Gargaroz] Gideon Jura

Postby aww1979 » 19 Feb 2011, 06:27

Describe the Bug:
The AI is not able to attack Gideon Jura

Which card did behave improperly ?
Gideon Jura

Which Version did you use ? (Constructed, Limited)
Constructed, Urza wannabe challenge

What exactly should be the correct behaviour/interaction ?
The AI should be able to attack the planeswalker.
Salbei>>Might possibly be impossible for players too(unconfirmed)

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
Most newer planeswalkers. It is also probably the reason that the first ability of Gideon usually (always?) results in the AI just attacking you anyway.

Save game is unfortunately a few turns afterwards, but I have two more Gideons in hand. (the gideon that's in the grave is there from spending all his loyalty, as AI never attacked it)

This is several turns later in the same savegame as above. (yes I really did somehow manage to survive) The AI attacked me with Gaea's Skyfolk and I had Chandra, Gideon and Ajani in play, and the window came up with all 3 planeswalkers and 'attack opponent'. It chose to attack me, so I don't know if attacking gideon would've been possible, but at least it came up as a choice, but only when other planeswalkers confirmed to work were also on my side.

It is a known issue by now. All of the new planeswalkers share this bug. Most likely going to be fixed soon.

[fixed by Gargaroz] Sapling of Colfenor

Postby aww1979 » 19 Feb 2011, 10:21

Describe the Bug:
There are two Sapling of Colfenor in play in this savegame. I don't know if this is due to it not properly being a legend, or that it is properly a legend but indestructibility kept it alive.

Which card did behave improperly ?
Sapling of Colfenor

Which Version did you use ? (Constructed, Limited)
Constructed

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
Two identical legends in play should immediately bury themselves

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
Other indestructible legends? Or any legend that was accidentally not tagged as one.

[fixed by Gargaroz]Treefolk Harbinger

Postby aww1979 » 19 Feb 2011, 10:34

Describe the Bug:
After casting Treefolk Harbinger, your deck is not shuffled. I could tell because I had alphabetize deck set to 1 and my next 7 draws were Augury Adept x4, Bayou x3.

Which card did behave improperly ?
Treefolk Harbinger

Which Version did you use ? (Constructed, Limited)
Constructed

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
Your deck should be shuffled and then the forest/treefolk put on top of your deck. (the shuffling is being skipped)

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
Effects similar to Mystical Tutor or Vampiric Tutor (though I know those two cards work correctly; just examples of the sort of thing to look for)

[fixed by Gargaroz] Knight of Meadowgrain

Postby Salbei » 19 Feb 2011, 14:26

Describe the Bug:
Creatures with lifelink do not give the player life when attacking a Planeswalker. In this case Knight of Meadowgrain

Which card did behave improperly ?
Knight of Meadowgrain

Which Version did you use ? (Constructed, Limited)
Constructed, Solo Duel

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
Damage is dealt (lifegain should generate life), then loyalty counters should get removed.

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
All Creatures with lifelink, Spirit Link, Loxodon Warhammer

*edit by Aswan Jaguar : I checked Spirit Link,Baneslayer Angel,Rhox War Monk, Armadillo Cloak,Vampire Nighthawk against different plainswalkers and you don't gain life so its safe to say that is a general bug.
