Ok, this is the general rule : if you want to use the same tokens of Costructed version, do not put anything that is an Instant or a Land in slot 1938. If you want to keep Vesuva in slot 1938, swap Ashcoat Bear with Grizzly Bears.

I don't have Grizzly Bears anymore :) Instead, I may remove Vesuva and replace it with something else.

[fixed by Gargaroz] Sharuum the Hegemon in EDH game

In EDH game, when I play Sharuum the Hegemon as general, it always lock the game before entering the battlefield if Rules Engine is "on". If I destroy it with cheats, there is no bug.

[fixed by Gargaroz] Elixir Of Immortality -stay in graveyard

PostPosted: 31 Oct 2011, 12:06
by Dominixux
Describe the Bug:
After Elixir of Immortality ability is activated, player gains 5 life, graveyard and Elixir of Immortality are shuffled into library. This works fine, but when card is put in graveyard and graveyard is clicked, all cards that have to be shuffled appears to be in graveyard. If library is clicked for seeing information about cards number, it would be seen that graveyard and library are shuffled. Since cards stay in graveyard, each time ability of artifact is used it will produce constantly grow of the library (you will end up with at least 20 Counterspell, 20 Diabolic Edict and 15 Corrupt edict in your library which has 200 cards).

Which card did behave improperly ?
Elixir of Immortality

Which Version did you use ?(Constructed, Limited)and which update(date, name)
I am using version from 03.08.2010. Since this bug is not reported on forum I assumes that it is not corrected.

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
Shuffle graveyard into library. Once graveyard is shuffled it must stay shuffled.
Cards number in library should not be greater then the cards number at the start of duel.

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
-

Sorry I don't understant that statement :

This works fine, but when card is put in graveyard and graveyard is clicked,
Do you mean the act of checking the card in the graveyard with right click > View the graveyard?

Also Elixir of Immortality is only present in Inny V4 Limited and after check it's working as intended

Dominixux you have an install that's almost 1,1/2 year old, go to patches and download the latest 26 September Innistrad v4.Now we have also the Golden Years mod(you need only G.Y mod v4, it is available to download in patches forum, too and there you can see the which card sets it supports....) besides constructed and limited you may want to download that, too.
Debugging supports only the last available, version.

Ok, I already downloaded new version, but I avoid to play it because I have to check all my decks and change them if some blue card is replaced by green card in mono blue deck or something like that. I hate that.

@Stassy - Yes, clicking on the graveyard means viewing the graveyard.
I know that Elixir of Immortality is only in Limited and it has bug in old version (which I am using).
I put artifact in Constructed version by replacing card Engineered Explosive with it. It has same bug.
(Since cards can be easily imported from Limited to Constructed (vice versa), so I think that artifact has same code for both Magic version: Limited and Constructed.)

As I said before no one reported that Elixir of Immortality has bug for older version. It is possible that bug still exists in newer version and that is the reason why I reported bug. I will try to re-produce bug in latest version and let you know or.. you could try by yourself and see if there is bug. :)

Detailed explanation how to reproduce the bug:
Ability of Elixir of Immortality has to be used at least 3 or more times. At least 2 or more cards must be in Graveyard (cast some spells from your hand, too). After artifact ability is used and graveyard is shuffled into library, play new spell from your hand and view graveyard for several times (3-5). If graveyard contains cards that are already shuffled into library, bug is reproduced. After you play and use Elixir of Immortality, your library will grow (check number of cards).
# The best deck for testing this is any kind of Re-animator deck (which does not kill opponent in first three turns) or Ensnaring bridge/Grafted skullcap deck. Just do not forget to put Elixir of Immortality into deck. :)

I effectively found a bug in the code, but I don't think it's related to this. But, however, we'll see after the next update.
