[fixed by Gargaroz]Academy Rector

PostPosted: 26 May 2011, 20:58
by mbodrov
I am attaching a deck instead of a savegame.
All my attempts to save the game on the turn the bug occurs have resulted in a corrupted savegame; but the deck is somewhat fun to play (designed to beat the Tribal Challenge).

Describe the Bug:
Play your Academy Rector. Wait until there are several cratures in play, then have the Rector die (suicide attack or block). RFG and pull out the Journey to Nowhere. The game will let you clone it indefinitely, and remove any number of creatures from the game.

Which card did behave improperly ?
Academy Rector

Which Version did you use ?(Constructed, Limited)and which update(date, name)
2011-05-03 v3 Constructed

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?
Academy Rector should bring ONE copy of the enchantment into play.

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
Possibly every other targeted enchantment card?

This particular problem affects all instance when a creature that use the "graveyar_from_play" function requires the player to choose a target or a card. Result : weird things.
This is the reason because I used another type of check for some cards in my Golden Years mod. I'll implement this too for Academy Rector.
In the meantime, try Oblivion Ring too. I bet the same misfunction will happen.

[fixed by Gargaroz]Slowdown caused by Propaganda & Co.

Hi, please take the time to check this.
I was playing with a deck based on Boomerang + Isocrhon Scepter & Limited Resources. In this deck, I've had a chance to see how Propaganda, Norn's Annex and Collective Restraint cause a severe game slowdown. I can't guess why, but they do and things look even worst when there are several cards on the battlefield.

I've tried to bury cards with cheats, including Rules Engine, but the slowdown is just caused by the cards above.

2011-05-03 v3 Constructed

Player should be forced to tap Carnophage.

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?
Other cards with similar upkeep requirements?

Confirmed, though I don't think current Manalink has the new life rules so that is why you can sac life even if you are at negative.

I think the rules always had the distinction between "lose 1 life" and "pay 1 life". For example, I've checked that Necropotence behaves correctly.
