This is how I see
Pyromancer Ascension:
Part I: Quest Counters. When Can A Player Can Put A Quest Counter On Pyromancer Asension?
PA states that: "Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell that has the same name as a card in your graveyard, [then] you may put a quest counter on
Pyromancer Ascension." (Works.)
Part II: Copying (aka "Forking") A Card.A. When Can A Player Copy ("
Fork") A Spell?
PA states that: "Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell while
Pyromancer Ascension has two or more quest counters on it, [then] you may copy that spell." (Partially Works.)
B. Can A PA Forked Spell Select A New Target?
Yes, PA states that: "You may choose new targets for the copy." (Works.)
C. Does A PA, With Two Counters On It, Also Require A Graveyard Copy Of The Instant or Sorcery Spell Being Played In Order To
Fork The Spell That I Am Casting?
No, PA does not require a graveyard copy of the card bing cast for making a copy ("
Fork") of the card that you are casting from your hand. Thus, if you are playing a
Demonic Tutor or a
Time Walk from your hand, and there is no copy of the card in your graveyard, then a PA, with two quest couters on it, will allow you to copy the card as it is being played from your hand.
D. If PA copies ("Forks") a card, is the coppied card Red?
Idk, PA does not state that the copied card is Red, and PA does not state that the copied card is the same color as the card cast; however, since PA is a Red card causing a copy (
Fork) effect, and since
Fork makes Red coppies of cards, I would say that PA ought to make Red coppies of cards too--just like
Fork.
