In a clean game AI doesn't cast Duress at all, in your savegame either once loaded (there is a Thoughweft Trio in player gy btw)

Postby Aswan jaguar » 21 Apr 2013, 14:51

Describe the Bug:
Frogtosser Banneret doesn't make goblin spells to cast 1 less.It seems to work fine with Fairies.

Which card did behave improperly ?
Frogtosser Banneret

Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)
ML3-GATECRASH+V2

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?

It works for me, so probably there's something else around messing up. Check in a clean game or post a screenshot.

tested with Boggart Shenanigans and Cloak and Dagger, it seems the mana bonus is applied correctly so it seems the culprit is Auntie's Snitch that misses the Rogue subtype (others goblin rogue get the mana bonus like Arms Dealer)

1- Auntie's Snitch prowl cost never is available even if Rogue or goblin you control damaged opponent.(maybe this messes the interaction with Frogtosser Banneret)
2- Auntie's Snitch graveyard ability is never available no matter if Rogue or goblin you control damaged opponent.

When a creature is first equipped 2 legacy effect card are attached to it, when a wizard creature enter bf or another creature is equipped only one switch target.

Re: [remamed-confirmed-2 new bugs added]Auntie's Snitch

Fixed the graveyard ability. The CMC modifier bug is strange and probably due to an interaction with Prowl, I'll investigate.

Fixed the first bug, however the second bug is not easily fixable, as each one card has only 1 legacy card available.

Re: [fixed 1st bug- wait for 2nd]Diviner's Wand

Postby Aswan jaguar » 24 Apr 2013, 14:55

I searched but couldn't find info on this but doesn't seem right, are you sure that the bonus +1/+1 should be moved to the other creature rather than get lost?as when the first draw happened the equipment was equipped to another creature. With that logic if you draw 3 cards with Ancestral Recall the equipment isn't attached to any creature and then you attach it to a creature,it should get bonuses for every draw before it got equipped that turn.
It is "whenever you draw" not for "every draw this turn".

For the second bug it is not that important besides we have many cards that use the pump that way.Too bad we can't find how the engine uses 2 different legacy cards for some original cards,to apply it to C cards.

Well, after reading the rules, I forgot to notice that the bonuses apply only when a card is drawn, not when equipped so the card seems not bugged as I though

[confirmed]Issue with Fork.

Postby Aquillion » 29 Apr 2013, 02:02

Describe the Bug:

Magic: The Puzzling spoiler | Open
In Magic: The Puzzling, on puzzle #2, I'm unable to cast Fork on a Fireblast. After selecting those two cards at the start and beginning my upkeep, I tap the two lands for mana, then sacrifice them both to cast my Fireblast and target my opponent; then, with the Fireblast on the stack, I try to cast Fork... and everything (both Fireblast and Fork) instantly resolves, with no option to pick a target for my Fork or for the copied spell, and my opponent only taking 4 damage instead of the expected 8.

Technically I suspect that the issue is as much with Fireblast as with Fork, but I didn't want to name both cards in the report description, since that would be an explicit Magic: The Puzzling spoiler.
Possibly this bug only happens if you have the 'make obvious choices automatically' config option (or whatever it's called) set?

Which update are you using?(date, name)Which type(Duel,Gauntlet,Sealed Deck)

March 2013 : Crashing the gates of Lorwyn (V2), from this thread.

Gauntlet / Challenge mode, Magic: The Puzzling challenge, challenge #2.

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction ?

More Magic: The puzzling spoilers | Open
The Fork should ask me what spell I want to target (or perhaps target automatically on account of there only being one spell to target), and should then ask me where I want to target the forked copy of Fireblast. My opponent should take 8 damage rather than 4.

If it matters, since it occurs to me this might be the issue: Sacrificing two mountains is part of the cost of playing a Fireblast; since Fork only copies the spell during resolution (and therefore after costs are paid), Fork shouldn't try to make you sacrifice mountains itself in this situation, and shouldn't fail if it can't.

Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug ?

Twincast, I'd assume, what with its being Fork's timeshifted version. If this issue is unique to this one challenge, though, I'm not sure it can actually come up.

Well, this issue has already been reported, though I might suggest you post it again in the Revisiting Challenge mode thread (for a replacement of the quiz maybe)

[confirmed]Dash Hopes (+ Harmonize?)

Postby Althuna » 29 Apr 2013, 15:09

I just played Harmonize and the opponent used Dash Hopes and I paid the 5 life to make my card go through. But the card didn't play and it went in to the stack and stayed there for the rest of the turn and then ended up staying in play like an enchantment.
