[1st not a bug/ typo fixed]Shefet Monitor - tapped desert

Postby Wally » 07 Jul 2020, 04:29

Describe the Bug:
Shefet Monitor on cycling should bring untapped lands into play but if I tutor for Desert of the Indomitable it enters the battlefield tapped as if the land was played from hand. Also has 'cansel' instead of 'cancel' as option.

Which card behaved improperly?
Shefet Monitor

Which update are you using? (date, name)Which type? (duel, gauntlet, sealed deck)
version 6-2020 v3 a8bbff706, duel

Can you please provide the rule for this? I searched a little but besides the rule that lands put into play don't count as played that turn couldn't find any other rule for lands put into play.

Edit: Also rules text of Desert of the Indomitable states that it enters the battlefield tapped and not when played/cast it enters the battlefield tapped to justify a bug here nor Shefet Monitor rules text states that the land comes onto play untapped so unconfirmed.
I will fix the typo - uncommitted.

I went and double checked this in MTGO to see how it works 'officially', it does indeed come into play tapped per the land text so current treatment is correct. Apologies for the confusion.
