The effect isn't (directly) dependent on the dialog option for how to pay the hybrid casting cost anymore - that is, it used to be, for this and all similarly-worded spells, that if you chose to pay "2G" and did it with a forest and two mountains it assumed you spent only green mana. I'm glad to see it isn't anymore. This one in particular, though, never deals damage to flying creatures if any is spent.
