I had Lord of the Pit and another creature so I should have had to sacrifice it during my upkeep but instead I chose not to and I took 7 damage (I clicked on cancel).
Which update are you using? (date, name)Which type? (duel, gauntlet, sealed deck)

What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction?
If you control any other creatures as Lord of the Pit's triggered ability resolves, you must sacrifice one. You can't choose to be dealt 7 damage instead.
