Damage resolution suggestion (for beginners!)

I was expecting to take 4 damage from the Germ but ended up losing 3 life which, after some head scratching, was because the Guardian Seraph prevents one damage.
In the log it just says Lodici loses 3 life without any further explanation. For experienced MTG players it is probably obvious but to us newer players I think it would be really helpful if the log displayed something like "Germ attacks Lodici for 4. Guardian Seraph prevents 1 damage. Lodici loses 3 life.". Is this feasible?
