Power Toughness Counter Revision
by ShawnieBoy » 23 May 2015, 19:36
I've just pushed an edit to the power/toughness modifying counters. (After some final adjusting).
Currently we only support counters for the +1/+1 and -1/-1 rendered thus:
There's already some cards implemented which use +1/+0 counters which aren't showing, and there's also a whole slew of other power/toughness counters in MTG.
To try and implement all these variations on a 16x16 icon is quite tricky, but I think I have something, and would like some feedback/playtesting, as they will have an effect of replacing the current icons we already know.
So, to aid readability, the tokens plus and minus symbols will appear in reation to the power/toughness format. So:
This then allows:
For the counters that involve +/- 2, they will simply appear twice, two icons on the left if 2/0, two on the right 0/2, one then two 1/2 etc.
With these variations, there's a worry that the number overlay for more than one counter may obscure the type:
And a similar format for the minus versions.
This may get a bit of getting used to for the +1/+1 and -1/-1 as they will appear different, but hopefully that small change will give a logical layout for all those plusses and minuses
