Here is the (22MB) link: http://mtg.deurk.net/scans/testscan.jpg
Tell me if quality is OK, I need to wipe off the scanner a little bit, I got sloppy tonight.
EDIT: Changed the link to the converted file, tell me if quality is still ok (used 95% for JPG)

Thank you very much, deurk, for both files.
I have look at your scan and compare it with my scans. Not bad for the first try. I think, basically your scanner is suitable for scanning Magic cards but a little fine tuning is neccessary. I will send you a pm.

Did that guy with the Portuguese cards ever respond? Maybe he can finish that Portuguese set I submitted a few years ago, minus the Ornithopter, which I *still* can't find.

Hi, I want to scan some of my cards, and upload then later... so I'm doing some scan test. Here they are:
Copperline Gorge - Scars of Mirrodin Regular - Spanish
Kor Firewalker - Promo Foil - Spanish
Sylvan Ranger - Promo Foil - Spanish
Ancient Hellkite - Promo Foil - Spanish
Are they good enough?

They're awful. Pls, read the first post of this topic and try again.SoldT wrote:Are they good enough?
When you´re a goblin, you don´t have to step forward to be a hero -- everyone else just has to step back.

they have to be scanned at 600dpi. That is, VERY big.

Well, I follow the steps of the first post to test again, and this is what I get:
Ancient hydra
And this is a foil card:
Shrieking Mogg
Both were got without lower the contrast... I can lower it if necesary.
Are they ok?

how do we get the originals ? We need the original scans, picasa resizes the images and compresses them. It's not a good idea to use them. Use a file sharing site. I think they may be ok, but i can't tell.

Ok, I didn't know that Picasa resizes images. Here, in Megaupload you can get a rar file wiht several scans with diferent levels of contrast.... I don't know what is the best for the job.

I have a full SOM set in Russian (including tokens and Tips and Tricks inserts).
I have an Epson scanner, but it is not available at this moment (it's at my parents'). I could do the scans, when I have the chance, but it would be mid-March or later.
