You're talking about 4KHQ pics; XLHQ pics are half as big.

I'm working on the new update, I promised it for Saturday but I couldn't make the goal. On Saturday I did make a huge amount of progress, but I ran out of time. Today I've been working on getting the missing files I need to fill in various holes.

I know you'd like me to release what I have but believe me it would be pointless. I'm going to release as quickly as possible, which is when I've met some minimum guidelines. By minimum I mean that I fully expect mistakes to be in the release. But what I have to ensure at least is that I've secured and labeled the files in the formats that I've established as standard. So, where possible I'm waiting until I have Crops, Fulls, XLHQs and 4KHQs. I make Tinys from the Crops.

In total that supports every viewing device we have in existence today!

And to answer your question, we will provide Theros in 4KHQ format, see attached.

Dear Reader,

I was going to roll these updates into the Complete torrent but didn't have time.
So instead I'm releasing an Update torrent. This collection includes a bunch of advertisement cards that won't end up in the regular torrent, so get them now.
Tokens and Emblems are included in the sets but not separately.
This collection also includes all the Tinys that didn't make it into the Complete torrent.

Before some poor misguided soul complains:
It's a torrent. You don't have to download the whole thing if you only want one file. So there.

Hello. Been lurking for a while, first time posting. *stink eye's post counter* Didn't see a rules thread anywhere so just let me know if I step afoul of them.

First off, thanks for doing all this. I've used MWS and gatherer together for a long time to research, build, and test deck ideas. I've also started using MWS to catalog my rather tremendous library of commons (an entire shops worth, they gave them to me when they went out). It helps a tremendous amount when I can look at the card and the picture of the card and tell which exact card it is by comparing the pictures. I'm also the only person I know that can identify the difference between limited, unlimited, revised, and 4th edition cards at a glance. So thanks .

I noticed you have moved away from using MWS's filesystem layout for pictures to something closer approximating the gatherer. Of course, MWS has not updated to take these changes into account. Being a computer tech and all around computer nerd... I know a simple solution using symlinks to alleviate this discrepancy.

It would end up being a small compressed file, less than a meg in size, that users would extract on top wherever they extracted your image pack. When MWS looks in /Pics/A for images MWS would silently and unknowingly be redirected to /Pics/LEA. Would you be interested in something like that?

By file system you must mean my new naming scheme. Yes, I'm using Gatherer three-letter codes now rather than MWS codes.
As I think you know the HQ Pics project was started on the MWSData forum so it was essentially started to support MWS, but when we moved here I wanted to expand our horizon.

I've been looking for a simple app to move files between different games. Winmerge for example would work but it's too much trouble for someone who doesn't already use it.

What you're proposing is different from what I've been thinking of for sure, I don't use symlinks though maybe I should! Anyway I'd love to see your solution, feel free to start a new topic.

Are symlinks PC only?

BTW cataloging is the specialty (I think) of Magic Album, right here on this forum, so please check that out.

Picked up a minor error; the satyr and cleric tokens from Theros have their file names switched. I only grabbed the fulls, so not sure whether it affects the other sizes.

I've done a quick processing of the Theros hero cards down to the 480 x 680 full size. Was just a few quick minutes so they're not perfect, but posting here in case anyone is interested.

I have some remarks.



As you can see first image is blur more than need. DDL and M14 are good but THS is too much blure, cards are not crystal clear as extreme cards. Other color are bad looking too. So you need to fix that.



And for Planeswalker in M14 why you have line witch divide border? Need to fix this too



But you are back and that's all that matters, just follow processing of extreme, and thx again you are all amaizing <3

My bad with sizing for theros. I'll get the correct sizes to Huggybaby.

Theros was hard to match colors because there were 3 scanners for the set. Also, I don't own any of the cards from the set, so I don't have any basis for matching. I tried to set things half-way between gatherer colors and previous set colors. I know gatherer has cooler blues and greens than the printed cards. That said, the colors are similar to Dragon's Maze, which was the last expansion processed by Extreme. Is it a particular color or card that you don't like?

I used the sharpening settings which Extreme gave me... let me double check that I have the right numbers from him.

And letters is not clear and sharpened (same is blue, white, artifact...) I watch only XLHQ.
Color as you can see is different, but if you have bad scans then it's not your fault.
