Contributor's Application Launched
The new contributor's application is now live! View it here: http://www.slightlymagic.net/contrib

Login using your slightlymagic username and password. Note that this application is hosted on slightlymagic.net and is official despite the unusual login prompt. The application will make accepting scans from multiple members easier, as well as provide a means to track which cards are needed.

The card list is automatically and instantly updated based by tagging the scans with the cards that they contain. Tagging is expedited with auto-complete. Members don't have to do both uploading and tagging, any member may contribute to either.

The app isn't pretty, but simple and functional. Please report any bugs.

Born of the Gods
Some images have already been posted to the BNG thread. I welcome anybody to re-upload and tag them using the new app. Our insert front and insert back list is probably missing a few cards so please report any that need to be added.

Decked Studios
Decked Studios has hired a new freelancer to do card processing. He has been trained and is ready to get to work on Born of the gods ASAP. The plan is to complete this set in no time flat (Unlike Theros). So lets get some cards up this weekend so he can get started!

Wow, very impressive! This is quite a milestone.

There's a minor bug with the contribution center:

If the title of the card has a comma in it (all of the Gods, Kiora, Brimaz, etc.) the tags separate into two separate tags (Brimaz, and King of Oreskos, get separated), and then don't cross off of the list like they're supposed to.

We're really close to finishing the scans!

Thanks for the report, also only JPG files are previewing correctly. I'm working on fixing the tagging issue and supporting PNG, TIFF files. I don't think I'll be able to update the app until after we have all of the images though, otherwise things will conflict.

Thanks for your uploads MixMastaPJ, but your scanner is of pretty low quality. Unfortunately we can't use your images. You may get better results if you follow the scanning guide, see the link on the upload page. I'm guessing you're using a dreaded HP all-in-one though, and there may be no fixing it.

Sorry I couldn't provide anything. You nailed it, the fiancee's HP All in one is the culprit. Might be able to try something better at school tomorrow.

Okay everybody, I've updated the Contributor Center to include group counts on the checklist page. Card names with commas are now working. Tagging was the wrong idea, please note the new "card identification" interface. Card name, set, and language should be all on the same line. Please use "PROMO" as the set code for all non-core, non-expansion, non-preconstructed sets.

PNG and TIFF images are still broken.

I know it is still a work in progress and I wanted to give you a heads up. I just scanned in some cards that were on the needed list. I uploaded one picture at a time and then tagged it appropriately. The uploaded card would be temporarily crossed off the list. Later though, the tagging would seem to disappear on the tagging page and the card would show back up on the needed list.

Also, I didn't see Promo as an option for the FNM Banisher Priest I uploaded. Another thing to take note of is the Pain Seer I uploaded is a Foil.

I've been adding pics to my own build using images from The Gatherer and other spoiler-list websites, cropping them as needed. Is there a reason we don't use those? Because if there's not, I don't mind sharing the images I've put together the past few days.

Only 15 cards left for BNG. We need people to check their inserts and ad backs too. I don't think we've identified all of them that exist yet. Does anybody have the Fat Pack inserts? Usually we see a preview card front & back for the next Duels video game in there.

@knostadt - Adding names worked for me. I'll be doing additional updates for the next set, so hopefully that will fix any issues. Also, new cards may be added - just type what you want into the field, it will allow you to enter whatever you want to. Also, your scan of Banisher Priest seems blurry compared to the rest of your scans. It may be because it's a promo, but can you rescan it to be sure?

@schnautzr - Sure, people are generally happy to have something temporary. Use the images from the BNG Card Image Gallery, they're slightly higher resolution than from gatherer.

@skibulk Is there a way to know which ad cards have already been done? I can look through what I have and compare.

I'm trying to source some of the remaining cards, not sure how much luck I'll have, my play group buylists everything pretty aggressively.

Also, all of the inserts we have so far are at the bottom of the tagging page, uploaded by tenminutegod. The first 3 scans.

Inserts are categorized as either "fronts" or "backs"

Here's a 70 MB zip containing 499 cards from 31 sets, 8 boosters from 2 sets, and 299 assorted tokens and emblems. Apologies for any that might be duplicates of existing ones; I used the "date modified" to identify the ones I'd worked on, so if images were published during the times I worked on them, they might show up as well.

p.s. I guessed on many of the tokens what the abbreviation should be for their expansion, so it's likely a few of them have the wrong abbreviation. For example, I just now corrected all the BTG's that should have been BNG's before uploading the zip.

I have collaborated with Extreme to identify an issue with Knostadt's scans. We could use them as a last resort, but there is a horizontal bar pattern in the underlying color channels. The images come out looking a little jagged when processed and reduced as a result. So in anybody has them to rescan, please do. Once we've got at least one of everything, we'll use whatever we've got. Until then, I've marked Knostadt's scans as not usable. @knostadt - thanks for your contribution anyways.
