Cool. I made efforts to find some of the online-only illustrations recently so hopefully I can fill some of the gaps. (Unfortunately I suspect there are a few of these images that, unless they get printed on physical cards, we would have to go to the artists directly to get in higher resolution.)

Any news on this subject?

Does anyone have "fixed" scans of Dack, Jace, Bottle and Kongming?

So... did anyone else notice that Gatherer's added the "proper" full versions of all the VMA cards?

Just blown away at how good it all looks in the modern frames and proper font, wish we had proper high-res versions of these now! I've added VMA to a custom deck list in Forge but the rips are straight from the MTGO game which barely hold a candle to these in terms of overall design.

Well, thanks for posting. Didn't notice at all. This is good.

I ended up cleaning up the cards that were messed up in the earlier post in Photoshop. They're 480x660 (a little shorter than standard scans which are 480x680), but they look fine to me.

Thanks! This looks really good now, appreciate the effort.

This is the largest I've seen it, I believe taken directly from the DOTP files:

That's actually much better than what I had.

What about Psychatog, Thawing Glaciers and Salt Flats? (Salt Flats art is larger than the Tempest one.)

Hi is the work done on this set? As it's an online set I don't find it in the mega folder or maybe I can't find it :/

Not done, no. Currently by my reckoning, there are two brand-new images featured in Vintage Masters that we don't have larger sizes of: Psychatog by Izzy and Lake of the Dead by Eytan Zana. If we can locate sources for these two images, we could combine these with images from physical cards and the larger images Teppic has already gathered to do a full pass. It's in my backlog to track these (and a few other digital-exclusive) illustrations down, but I haven't gotten to it yet.

Okay, the following page shows the images I'm using to generate VMA renders, for the cards where the art quality is lower than the ideal size. If anyone wants to look for higher quality versions of any of these and post them, it would be much appreciated.

Missing VMA art

The 256x188 images are from Magic Online. We could obviously use crops from XLHQ card scans in place of those but often the cropping is different and sometimes the MTGO art shows details to the left and/or right of the crops we have (since it is art being used in the wider 8th Ed frames for the first time). It's a question of whether it is better to use high quality art, or have the art positioning be as accurate as possible. For some of them, it may just be a matter of cropping XLHQ crop images to the required aspect ratio.

Here's what a XLHQ render looks like with high quality art:
