I can't download the following 300dpi BFZ

I get a Temporary Error on those for the past week
Was able to manually download specifics such Breaker of Armies and Forest #10 that didn't work in group download

charlequin (or another release team member), can you please explain how the basic lands are numbered in new sets?

It would be great to use the same numbering scheme for CCGHQ and mtgjson, so that all lands in new sets are automatically in sync (see /lsmoura/mtgjson/issues/89 on github).

Well, sorry for the delay, but here we are. I made a torrent of cropped borders XLHQs for use in Forge but it seems no one cares for it. Browsing cards in the deck builder is a pleasure now

When going through all the cards to add in Forge I came up with several typos across the sets. Not many though. For the torrent to check you'll have to rename the cards too. Also there are new zips for 8ED and 9ED (fixed white corners) and C13 (was too dark and kinda blurry). All credit goes to charlequin.


Torrent version 3, hopefully the last one (for real now ) concerning fixes. So, do as before, but now delete 8ED, 9ED and C13. Then open the following zips and rename these cards in each one:

C13: Rough -> Rough - Tumble
C14: Midnight Hauntingg -> Midnight Haunting
CHK: Brothers Yamazaki -> Brothers Yamazaki1
EVG: Goblin Ringleaders -> Goblin Ringleader
V13: Kessing Wolf Run -> Kessig Wolf Run
LEG: rathi Berserker -> Aerathi Berserker
HOP (Planes): Horizon Bough -> Horizon Boughs

All these from M15
Leeching Silver -> Leeching Sliver
Lianowar Wastes -> Llanowar Wastes
Ob Nixilis, Unchackled -> Ob Nixilis, Unshackled
Sliver Hiverlord -> Sliver Hivelord
Soul of Zendiker -> Soul of Zendikar

Also DDL and DDM had the names switched. Change the folder name inside each zip and the name of the zip itself. DDL -> DDM and DDM -> DLL.

After those changes drag the CCGHQ MTG XLHQ Pics folder to trrntzip.exe and let it normalize all files (the ones with no changes will be skipped).

This way the torrent should check and it will only download the new 8ED, 9ED and C13.

Updating torrents should be a lot easier with the use of a program called Clrmamepro so that downloaders don't have to rename cards manually. Clrmamepro is a collection manager primarily used for old video game collections. However, I know that it can be used for images. I have downloaded datfiles for use in Clrmamepro before that were for snapshots of video game screens and should apply to any images including scans of cards.

You could create a datfile (or preferably, a bunch of datfiles, one for each set; the benefits of having multiple dats is: 1. As they are updated you can have separate dates showing which sets have been updated whether renamed or better scans were used. And: 2. People probably have their tokens and other odd cards in different directories or locations and multiple datfiles allow you to have different directories affiliated with each datfile.) before you upload your torrent and just attach the datfile(s) as an additional attachment for the torrent. Previous downloaders of the torrent would run the datfile on their collection and it would correct the incorrect file names (or new downloaders should be able to use your datfile to "rebuild" to where they want to download the torrent since most people will have their sets named differently for their magic software).

Previous downloaders would then run torrentzip which should start them at 100% complete for the torrent if the torrent has no new sets in it and just a bunch of renames. Also, new downloaders could join way higher than 0% if they rebuild from your dat(s) and then torrentzip.

I'm not quite sure what you mean? Generally the basic lands in a set go, e.g., Forest Forest2 Forest3 Forest4 Forest5 in the order of their collector numbers.

Also: if anyone has downloaded the most recent version of the XLHQ torrent (posted here) would they be willing to seed it for a while? Currently there doesn't seem to be anyone seeding.

It would be quicker and better, but not easier, so nobody here will use it. They will happily join a torrent at 0%, over and over again.

If we had a way of enforcing ratios perhaps...

None of the above. It takes TIME and motivation on behalf of some, ANY contributor. I'm talking specifically about updating the torrent linked in the first post of this topic, following its conventions exactly. We had an XLHQ update. But crops were missing, 4khq's were missing, regular HQ's were missing. Maybe they are now obsolete? I don't think so. I created the standards for a very good reason.

But when the takers' ability to take, exceeds the producers'/aggregators' ability to supply, or even what the producers think is relevant in opposition to what I have established, you end up with the situation we've had for the last few years.

What extreme, PresetM and I used to do needs to be replaced if the project is to continue the way it was. I must leave it to the current contributors to decide. The users will take what is available without exception. And the users want everything, completely, in the best quality, with the most variety.

I downloaded Wurm's original one and the updated one linked above and saw the same thing both times. 0 seeds, 0 peers. I left the original going for a week, but did not get anything. Maybe it's an issue with the way the torrents are being set up?

Nothing wrong with the torrent. Wurm seeded until it had been downloaded a few times, and all the leechers did the usual hit and run so the torrent died.

That's another reason why having a complete and official torrent is so important: longevity. That's the only way to reach a critical mass.

Very odd. I see multiple seeders and leechers and have maintained all torrents (no matter how inconsequential) for as long as possible. I think I have only removed a few single set torrents from my queue.

All other torrents, old & new, should still be viable until they are superseded.

Hey all- not sure if this is where I should post or not. Could someone direct me to the link of a HQ back of a Magic card? Is this something that exists on the site? If not that's fine. Thanks for all you have put up so far!
